Post by: Kim Jong-Un's Pajama Pants on February 18, 2020, 02:42:40 AM
Why would any Rwandan bother opposing Kagame?  The man will just kill you.

A popular Rwandan gospel musician who in 2015 was found guilty of conspiracy to murder or harm President Paul Kagame was found dead in a police cell in the capital, Kigali, in what authorities called a suicide.

Kizito Mihigo, 38, an ethnic Tutsi survivor of the 1994 genocide that killed more than 800,000 Tutsi and moderate Hutus who tried to protect them, killed himself on Monday morning, a police statement said.

Man is largely wired to be free and seek freedom. Even in abject few would agree to be whipped daily for a salary.

Politically motivated killings can't go on forever and ain't a sustainable strategy. Their macabre nature even if sanctioned from highest offices makes them despicable and revolting even to these dictators. Given hum yearning for freedom, these killings lead to more dissidents or extremists who eventually wear even most resilient dictators out.

While I appreciate Kagame's role in taking Rwanda from the deadly past; it is certain that he will fall on his sword or if he is to die in office he will have set Rwanda up for a vicious bloodbath.
