You have to a big ego sometimes to this ambitious. He seems to be able to cut people down like Kibaki would do those he deemed to nuisance. He once called Mutahi Ngunyi an upstart journalist from nowhere

Museveni believes he is the alpha and omega of all knowledge in Uganda. He has overstayed his usefullness.

I think he is not such a bad leader and does genuinely care about Uganda. He just need to ship out because eventually they will kick him out..He is a meles zenawi and kagame..and Ruto is definitely moulded like them.Brilliance plus energy and ambition means things will move in a contingent where nothing moves unless pushed..certain level of micromanaging is required.Uhuru has no energy so his big four agenda is already dead.Raila is tired and has zero management skills so he will be chaos.Kibaki IQ was off the charts but sadly he became pork when he was tired.I don't think any of current leaders can match Kibaki intelligence..maybe Late Meles Zenawi.

Pundit I don't buy that M7 the Great story. Uganda should have leap-frogged into the African Tiger over his 34 years. But how are they doing instead? 25B usd  :(

Not true. I lived in Uganda and never heard of such. M7 is very vibrant and can hold his own in debate or long media briefing. His nation of address takes like 5hours !!. The man is Marxist who likes talking.

 :D :D :D :D
Then Daniel Toroitich was also a marxist. Most marxists exist only on paper. That man is the rich est Ugandan.
Btw, even Angola is a marxist nation and the daughter of the former president is officially a US dollar billionaire.

Just a rumor.  Though he does have those slips you expect from declining mental faculties.  Still that means he is very much in charge and going nowhere unless removed violently.

That's really dismal and not worth the praise. 6% is just below average growth for a bottom economy.

Lol. This is not management consulting where you package smoke in whitepaper for a fortune. It's commonsense. Emerging markets and LDCs have massive headroom for growth.

Yap. Just like people, When countries age growth slows down. Younger countries, like most African countries have the momentum.
