Arrested after a Mad-Max dystopia kind of trip.

Revolution is stewing in UG but I don't see Bobi making it. It will be the Zim kind when a "young" mzee replaces the senile one.

To me it seems like Museveni has purged the NRM side of potential replacements except very close buddies and kin in the military. Bobi has two options. Going six feet under soonest. Or, if he survives long enough, he will become impossible to just mishandle or eliminate without bringing down the whole system - much like Baba.

It's not ripe for a Baba in UG. Countless Jaramogis, Muliros, Matibas paved the way for that in Kenya. The coup era wasted UG's teenage so it is a problematic menopause. Ugandans generally don't see the payoff in escaping the relative peace contrasted to Rwanda, the Sudans, DRC, and the Amin years. Fight for freedom? - what is freedom?
On that count alone Kenya is regional Nirvana. Expect Whisky to be manhandled pointlessly from time to time. He is a Miguna, not Baba.

Museveni didn't purge NRM. I think he has allowed people to eat. He has allowed the elites to do their thing and just eliminated any boat rockers from without. The is no credible threat within the NRM to take out Museveni. As one lady told me as long as M7 is keeping peace there is no hurry to remove him.
The other thing is that M7 has really manage the economy well. for a landlocked country he has been able to do well. Plus it doesnt seem like he has stolen to the level of Moi and Kenyatta
