Shares shedding 70% due to production revised downwards?
I'm thinking they have been taking us for a ride and their estimation of our oil is exaggerated. Kenya's deposits may not be economically viable

The world is going green. Tullow was always DOA.

And Kenya is still dreaming of setting up nuclear and coal plants? :o

Green gases will be declared illegal at some point. Mainstream auto and machinery producers are located in the West. Green will be enforced - even in the US after the Dotard retires. There are floods and heat waves all over because poor haggard old Earth cannot take it anymore. Saudis and big oil dependants should be very wary. Kenya and Tullow should abandon this 70 years too late white elephant.

Tullow was scam fueled by conflict energy. Tullow oil in kenya was way to siphon s. Sudan oil via kenya. All connected to Burisma. That's where it will end with Hunter Biden.

Turkana oil finds were never enough to justify the hype. Indian Ocean might be more promising.

Indian Ocean yes but note the whole block was taken by kenyatta family criminal enterprise and mortgaged to some shell companies then blamed Somalia.

Do you understand we cannot abandon fossil fuel without increasing warming by at least 1 Celsius. This is due to masking effect provided by aerosols from mostly sulfur that is produce as a result of coal burning.
This is the paradox of gw that is least talked about. If our industrial economy collapsed tomorrow the earth would heat by 1 c in a matter of days as all this aerosols would drop from the sky. The aerosols turnover is quick ..we are in a catch 21

KenyanPlato - there are big green mandates everywhere. Entire West, China, India, etc have zero carbon targets by 2050. It's not possible to go green overnight but fossil will be out of market progressively. There will be no gas auto and machinery by 2030 when Tullow goes live. Kenya is 70 years late to the party.

"Discovering" oil now is same as discovering print media.

Not according to EIA projections ..an industrial Africa will be heavy on coal and oil consumption.

Africa will not be "industrial" any time soon. In the meaningful leapfrog sense. Industry 4.0 - robotics - and you are still struggling with EPZ and cottage. Agric and services will have to do. The Saudis and Qataris are working hard to wean themselves of oil & gas reliance while Kenya is discovering oil... wonders never cease.

We are light years away from green

This green energy mantra is a farfetched dream by misguided scientists and Greta Thunbergs and the papal climate change gang. Fossil fuels and carbon dioxide are not as dangerous as the activists want it to look. Pollution is a big problem all over the world but it is not the sole cause of global warming, floods and other climate problems. The pope's agenda with the climate change globalist campaign is totally different from what the scientists are showing.

The need to curb the toxic effects of aerosols on health & environment should solidly inform the transition to cleaner energy. Risking the 1C warming is a fair tradeoff.
