INEOS founder chartered a flight from Eldoret for Eliud to Austria. 12th Saturday likely the time for the race of the century. Finally long distance running getting the recognition it deserves because of the so many health benefits

Too much pressure on this man. I wish him the best, but many of these things should take place after he accomplishes his mission successfully.
-
A bit about the pacemakers. They should probably just use a robot for him to keep up with.
-
Yeap but If all those millions he has earned - all those years have not changed the man - he won't change because of 3 days of showbiz. The amount of sacrifice required for training is incredible.Kipchoge every week is running the distance from Eldoret to Nairobi. You can imagine 3-4 months of training - that is distance of maybe 4,000-5000- nearly running from Mombasa to Lagos -
Too much pressure on this man. I wish him the best, but many of these things should take place after he accomplishes his mission successfully.
-
Last time he fell short by 25 seconds. This time with more training and the team blowing the wind away for him he will did it

I agree entirely. Now he will be running like he owes the INEOS guy something. It's no longer a sport but showmanship.

Eliud like his coach come from famous Talai(Laibon) clan. The clan that gave us Koitalel Samoei. The Mzungu so feared the Talai they sent those in Kipsigisi down to Gwasii island in Lake victoria - after Laibon removal ordinance act was passed in 1935 - and those in Nandi to Kapsisiywa ( a concentration camp)...where Kipchoge was born.Talai acted like the 'brains' of Kipsigis and Nandis leading them in long resistance and refusing colonial influence. For that they faced very worst form of isolation. Kipsigis Talai were exiled to Gwasii island..and their leaders imprisoned as far away as Lamu...in 1910s and 1920s. Possibly first and only Africa mass deportation.
What set apart the Talais or Laibons is their mental belief that they are descent from prophets....with mythical powers... to predict the future.

Mr Sang who has presented a petition of the more than 10,000 people occupying Kapsisiywa area in Nandi County to the senate said that many of the residents had their fundamental human rights violated during the pre-colonial period.

Eliud says he has been doing 200, 000 kms per week!
Kenenisa's coach says the Ethiopian can easily better the time if he was disciplined like Eliud - he does his raw meat and runs errands for his firms when in Addis.
