Hardly, this is more like TZ moron president magufuli fight against "tax cheats". The end result will be less investment in a country with unpredictable tax regime.

Magufuli actions are totally different from uhuru.
Magufuli was mainly fighting foreigners fleeing with local resources while at the same time he's empowering locals. Remember he built a wall around a precious metals mine, built mineral exchange markets, and gave small traders ID to reduce harassment.
However, uhuru is fighting locals while entrenching his business. Magufuli does not appear to do any business.

Magufuli slapping 190B dollars was truly moronic - and pretty much killed all investments. Here we are dealing with local crooks. I don't see Uhuru touching multinationals who are playing above board like EABL. We know Kerocho are no good. We know African Spirits - are crooks. I think this will help clean up the sector and those like EABL playing by the books will win.

Magufuli demanding 190B dollars from Acacia minning scared off all foreign investment and led to capital flight. It was the most moronic decision ever. Uhuru is going for local crooks. He did the same for sugar and related crooks - and sector is now hopefully ridden off somali and like of tax cheats.

If uhuru wants to fight corruption and wastage he should read this and take remedial measures http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/230971468254049239/pdf/940210WP0v10Bo0ort0Vol01201400FINAL.pdf . Corruption and wastage starts and ends with budgeting and allocation of funds. We're not getting value for this huge budgets due to corruption, wrong investments and just plain theft. Conservatively we can cut our budget by half and still get better value if funds are allocated to the right projects and cut corruption.

Keroche buys ethanol from kisumu molasses , they aren't partners with Raila. Kariuki offended the big family after he bought mount kenya safari club, rumor has it that he out bid them. If uhuru meant well for the country he'd first pay his CBA taxes, stop forcing taxpayers to bail kq out to his benefit, stop their construction affiliated companies from doing business with government etc.
