They finally decided to turn off life support. She had been ailing from cancer. She had done so much in so little time and had no wiff of corruption.
-
RIP. Another cancer victim. All of 58 years.

Awiti and Nanok have it or so I hear. Awiti is nearly blind.
I think incapacitation due to health should be defined to a period of 120 days out of office.
-
A rare species in the Kenyan political scene.
RIP.

I wish we get more women leaders like her.She was like a mother , deeply cared and never stole a dime as MP and governor. His father was well off having acquired more than 1000 hectares from Tea estates where he was African to join management and that probably helped coz she didn't have to acquire wealth.

Or maybe she was just a decent person. The people who steal the most normally have billions already.

right - maybe also being diagnosed with cancer early - 1991 - made her think about her life here in a different perspective.

Now they are arguing about where she should be buried. Hubby came from Koru and RVs are hesitant to let go. They should just respect her wishes(if she had any). Ken Okoth’s White bae is also bracing herself for a bruising battle with her in laws who ‘value dead bodies better than live negroes’ ,to paraphrase Alai HSC

Who is arguing. As long as Obonyo fulfilled customary rights... basically paid cows..she will bury her wife.Kalenjin don't like drama because it's dirsepect the death. She was married and will buried in Kisumu.
