BTW, what happened to Raila Kwisha? So much for your self acclaimed infallible punditry skills. Ouru is really enjoying his new found friendship with Raila because it adds something to his plate as opposed to Ruto who had out-lived his usefulness to Ouru and was actually a negative to him. Ouru is not going back to those dark days when he could not transverse the country and enjoy the almost total calmness, stability, popularity and good will. This is the dream of a politician and he will not sacrifice it for Ruto. In fact Ruto had become a political liability because he is now the face of corruption, instability and divisionary politics. Ouru has really found Raila's valuable in the international scene, especially in Africa where Raila has many friends. Mt. Kenya still has a juggernaut on the presidency and they do not want to repeat the mistake of 1978. Ruto is asking them to do what Moi asked them to do in 1978 when they lost the presidency for 28 years. They are not therefore letting the presidency go and with Raila on their side, Ruto cannot take the presidency from them by force. Ruto is therefore locked out of the presidency for all practical purposes. Raila's offer of a power sharing deal with Uthamaki is more salable. The issue remaining is how are the Kalenjin going to be appeased without Ruto. That's where Man Gidi comes in.

Me, I think Babu is taking Uhuru for a ride... for the common good of Kenya. Babu would battle for PM with Ruto - neither of the latter duo is flowergirl material. But once we have a properly accountable Exec plus federalism - I don't care too much which wolf lands the job.

You're doing a deal with somebody who is going home :) . That is akin to waiting for Kibaki in 2022 to endorse you. Kalonzo waited. Mudavadi waited. Raila prayed but Kibaki simply disengaged and disappeared.

There is only one path to the presidency in Kenya. Winning 50+1 by campaigning very very hard. That is what Ruto as always done. Ruto is ought there - campaigning hard- he already has completed 300 campaign cum development cum fundraising meetings in Kenya in last 2yrs. By 2022 - he would have done maybe 1,500 such visits - and that will reflect in the final results.
Everywhere you go Ruto popularity is very high. All the new spanky roads are called Ruto roads. That is a huge voter winner. Ruto is also investing heavily in churches. In the meantime, Raila has held 100 funeral dirges.... as he prepares for his political funeral.
Deals are easy to make. They are made in the last few days. Why would Ruto worry about deal-making now - when he has a chance to sell his vision now, to build political network now, to win over foes, and to buy off those whose prices he can afford?

Its difficult to reason with someone who is living a lie. Only one elections-2002 was won fair and square. The servers for 2017 elections have not even been opened yet. Even by your old standards and mantra that, "elections in Kenya are purely tribal", Ruto cannot win without Ouru. If you combine that with "government interference", then Ruto's path is only through Ouru helping him steal. At this time I do not think Ruto's presidency is high up in Ouru's priorities.

The other part tell me Uhuru could be open to exploring extending his term but someone's else as to do the donkey work.Uhuru is a lazy pampered mama boy.Nancy n Kibicho are going to take WSR with their bare hands.Raila is now neutered to Luo Nyanza so his help hasn't been of much traction.Gideon Moi and MaDVD are terrible while Kalonzo outside Ukambani is ajoke.Ruto is the juggernaut

The "deal" was too good for smart alec to pull wool over Gema. He got 50-50, outlooted the boss, stuffed Jogoo Party to the choke with his Duales.. then ati "tumupatie mukate ingine muzima atorewe wapi?"
