Safaricom is 10B dollar company - that is so critical to the economy - we cannot afford the usual incompetence from gov sources.

I agree they need to look global - GoK Mucheru and Atwolis need to keep off. Safaricom is a sitting dark - telco network will be disrupted in a few years - by satellite. We already have Facebook Libra knocking on the door. They need a serious person to steer them in the coming turbulence. It's been a very smooth ride facing the incompetent Airtel, Telkom and Yu. Soon you will see the Amazons and Alibabas in SSA.
