Maybe if Africa had options - they'd choose. Beggars don't choose. Malaysia has options. Kenya doesn't. Right now it's only the Chinese willing to spend money. Americans are not better. They want to build Mombasa-Nairobi highway for 3B dollars - about the same prices Chinese did the railway.

And really most of Chinese loans to Africa are low interest and very competitive with WB/IMF loans.

Anyway Africa Dev Bank is doing a great job - supplementing WB & IMF & China
