Unrequited love drove Wangechi’s killer over the edge

The detectives also confiscated some drugs found in his car for testing to ascertain what they were and whether he had taken them before attacking Ms Wangechi.
The former Alliance Girls High School student scored straight As in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, earning herself easy admission to study medicine.

The feel good evangelical movement just like the just war theory lies to people that they can get what they want, they are unique and gods love them - that no evil will come their way as long as they are doing good. This is not true of the brutal world we live in - mean suckers and assholes are everywhere from White House to Kibera shacks to streets all over the world.
People are going to become meaner assholes as the world becomes meaner for the majority.

The murderer exhibits the attributes of an incel. Clueless around the opposite gender(and maybe people in general).

I think social media is bringing all the news to everyone quickly. These things used to happen - but nobody reported them. Now I see nearly anything that goes down - gets some airtime.
What we lack is mental healthcare. There are a lot of mad people who should be on medication - in Kenya - like you'd find in developed world.
No sane person can hack someone to death with axe - just because they didn't like them back. But now that he has committed crime - he needs to pay for it.

These days I use social media to give me a general idea of what's going on. Then on that basis I look for more credible sources(oftentimes, within the social media world itself). It used to be google search, then maybe twitter or facebook. Now the tables have been turned, with google search happening last if at all.
I agree the guy obviously has mental issues. It does not help that in Kenya it might even have been a source of ridicule for him.

I ain't saying she's a gold digger but she really hustled the boy

The guy could have been taking loans to send the lady money. Very frustrating conundrum

Kinuthia was head over heels. Maybe he found out that he was subsidizing her life including dating someone else. Simple advice of if you need to spend money to keep her attention, she is not into you was probably missed. And there is no legitimate way for him to claim back his money.
A tough situation. Still one in which an axe and attempted decapitation should not feature as options.

Look like temporary insanity. But well I guess buying an axe - and all that - makes it pre-mediated murder.
