Title: Climate protests - is this guy for real? ?
Post by: veritas on November 30, 2018, 02:21:22 PM
"The best thing you learn about going to a protest is how to join the dole queue."

"That's what your future life will look like, up in a line asking for a handout, not actually taking charge of your life and getting a real job."

Mr Canavan said he instead supported children learning science.

"I want kids to be at school to learn about how you build a mine, how you do geology, how you drill for oil and gas, which is one of the most remarkable scientific exploits of anywhere in the world that we do," he said.

"These are the type of things excite young children."

Take time and watch videos of paradise California fires. Shit that fire really shows how scary the future must be. Hearing kids chocking and burning in the car is just horrendous. These were the licky ones thqt left alive.

On what we need ro do. We need total sacrifice. Americans need a reboot a propaganda machine to make this danger real for them

Otherwise nature will do it thing and just give us a thrashing

???

I don't believe the science behind climate change and I know many share the same sentiments. I give more credit for mother nature and I don't think anything we do harms her to the extent of destroying the existence of nature. If the world ends then it'll be because it's written in the universe code, programmed in our dna.

Locally though I believe there's pollution, the world's climate shifting but not towards some apocalyptic end. I believe societies except for developing nations like China and India are adopting cleaner practices. Maybe we'll be better people and kinder to ourselves. That should develop naturally, it shouldn't be forced fed. If you tell people not to do something they'll do it. You have to give them that choice.

Policy wise it's fairly simple. Get rid of private cars, fast food chains, no deals with China and India. Be a poorer equitable society.

Thank you Veritas. This climate change, global warming hysteria is driven by the pope and the UN for nefarious reasons. See other thread on climate change.

http://www.nipate.org/index.php?topic=7182.0

There are numerous scientific documents which question the global warming mantra which they have now baptized into "climate change" because nobody was buying it. Children marched in the US as well and the idea is to force global warming into reality so that nations will be under pressure to enact laws favoring the pope and the UN's agenda of controlling the nations. The pope has more hideous skeletons in his cupboard and should be the last to take up the role of policing the world. Let nature take care of that.

Thanks for the link GM- I hadn't seen. Riveting.

As much as I want to join the chorus of climate activists- I can't.

There's so much research waste as is, climate data is no different. It assumes causation under one theory and absolves local issues like tackling pollution. The pope supports climate change because the papacy/holy see has an agenda against corporations from expanding and progressing. They burn candles and have nothing to lose.

Every country has a policy for climate change since the Kyoto protocol. These include reducing carbon emissions, investing in renewable energy sources, cleaner and tabling less fuel dependent strategies. It's ingrained in every govt agenda and energy company. The hype is that big oil giants are doing nothing bla bla bla but that's rubbish. They're slowly changing practices because of safety and its cost effective to not rely on conventional fuel sources. Oil giants haven't just gone through 'de-symbolification' eg BP changing their logo to green, but oil scientists are exploring clean energy sources like ethanol. This isn't because of climate change but because oil is finite and causes wars.

What more do climate activists want? Stop all access to oil? Ban all vehicles? Submarines? Ships? Planes? Airbases, nuclear plants, light, electricity, transportation, stocks, imports, exports, dissolve the military?

Moving societies away from an oil eco-system takes time. It's not going to happen overnight. If it happened overnight, people won't be able to get to work or even work if they get to work with no power, electricity, computers, no phones, no mobile, no ipad. So you stay home to watch netflix but there's no power. You want to cook but there's no food. You might be able to grow vegies catch a squirrel and get a firepit going.. no running water from water hydrohaulic pumps in dams at a standstill. No hospital equipment or medicines...

Should the theory climate change be given that much credit? Absolutely not. It's been heavily politicised when it shouldn't be.

I believe an asteroid has a better chance of wiping us out or even sun flares that happen every 11? years and scientists have been climate intervening by melting slabs of ice in the ocean and nuking the sun to "shield the earth" lets not forget how they're still testing nuclear bombs on the moon and that's why we don't have cities on the moon when we should by now. How come these issues aren't being addressed?

Nice one on candles.. If the pope and his priests would stop burning candles we'd stop driving SUVs.  :D  :D The real issue is the backdoor attempt to return Catholic dominance of world politics. This the pope seeks in the three main articles lf Laudato Si.

1. Worship of Sunday (Vatican's symbol of authority and deception) instead of the true Sabbath (Saturday).

Quote
237. On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world. Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the “first day” of the new creation, whose first fruits are the Lord’s risen humanity, the pledge of the final transfiguration of all created reality. It also proclaims “(humankind’s) eternal rest in God”.[CCC 2175] In this way, Christian spirituality incorporates the value of relaxation and festivity.

2. Worship of the false trinity indoctrination. The trinity falsehood was created by the catholic church and was the reason they persecuted millions and killed so many "heretics" and "Catharists" across the world.

Quote
238. The Father is the ultimate source of everything, the loving and self-communicating foundation of all that exists. The Son, his reflection, through whom all things were created, united himself to this earth when he was formed in the womb of Mary. The Spirit, infinite bond of love, is intimately present at the very heart of the universe, inspiring and bringing new pathways. The world was created by the three Persons acting as a single divine principle, but each one of them performed this common work in accordance with his own personal property. Consequently, “when we contemplate with wonder the universe in all its grandeur and beauty, we must praise the whole Trinity”.

3. Worship of Mary (catholics call her Queen of heaven). Mary in the bible is an adorable person who gave birth to Jesus, but she is dead and nowhere in the Blbie are Christians commanded to worship her. The catholic church wants to restore worship of Satan by venerating dead relics and other dead persons by claiming Mary is to be worshiped as well.

Quote
241. Mary, the Mother who cared for Jesus, now cares with maternal affection and pain for this wounded world. Just as her pierced heart mourned the death of Jesus, so now she grieves for the sufferings of the crucified poor and for the creatures of this world laid waste by human power. Completely transfigured, she now lives with Jesus, and all creatures sing of her fairness. She is the Woman, “clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars” (Rev 12:1). Carried up into heaven, she is the Mother and Queen of all creation. In her glorified body, together with the Risen Christ, part of creation has reached the fullness of its beauty. She treasures the entire life of Jesus in her heart (cf. Lk 2:19,51), and now understands the meaning of all things. Hence, we can ask her to enable us to look at this world with eyes of wisdom.

By pretending to champion UN environmental agenda, the catholic church may end up shielding itself from prosecution. Who can prosecute a suspect who dines in State House?

From a secular perspective, people are beginning to see what a hoax the UN is becoming. Since being hijacked by the Vatican, the UN is no longer concerned about human rights and development but narrow agenda wrapped around "sustainability" which is simply another word for the pope's religious agenda. At this rate, the UN will lose meaning and relevance by 2022.

The UN has become a European affair. I wouldn't let your hatred for the Vatican cloud your interpretations or lose faith in God. God is bigger than any religion.

No hatred there. UN remains on American soil and Democrats will be ratcheting up the climate change campaign to make up for Trump's "failure".

USA withdrew from the UN shortly after 9/11 so Bush could recruit Australia and poor countries into the coalition of the willing. The UN remains a social outlet for the EU.

According to Janis there are three rules of groupthink.

They are:

Rule One. A group of people come to share a common view or belief that in some way is not properly based on reality.

Rule Two. Because their common view/belief cannot be subjected to external proof they have to reinforce its authority by claiming ‘consensus.’ The idea is to emphasize that all right-thinking people hold this view and that it is no longer open to challenge.

Rule Three: Anyone who disputes this ‘consensus’ must be excluded from the discussion: at best marginalized; at worst openly attacked or discredited.

Janis ...ok.

This could be an ethical dilemma. Utiliarianism vs Virtue vs Hedonism. Climate skeptics are driven by hedonism -their lust for oil and power. Climate deniers are driven by Virtue- mother nature rules. Climate activists are driven by utility- consensus.

Having caused the France crisis with it's Climate Change (Laudato Si) policies, the Catholic church now wants to intervene between the French government and the Gilets Jaunes. What cheek!

That website seems to aggregate the looniest stories of the day in one convenient location.  There is a Catholic angle to it(not sure if it pro or anti) - but it seems to be lurking in most headlines.  I can't find it in me to take to time read such aggressive promotion of conspiracies.

This is the official watch for the climate change (or global warming?) hoax. Here is the latest instalment.
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/mar/01/youth-climate-strikers-we-are-going-to-change-the-fate-of-humanity

Children now primed to strike across the world in support of a hoax. The lie told many times over has become "truth." Once the crisis become bad enough, the man of sin will intervene with the solution.
