Title: Uhuru trade fair with china
Post by: KenyanPlato on November 08, 2018, 01:31:03 PM
Nation had a picture of him showing Xi a display of kiondo and a wooden elephant. Are these the only thing oligarchs in Kenya can produce to export. What products is Kenya planning on exporting to China and what are the volumes? Xi was sneering and seemed missed that he had ro be dragged to such a poor executed pr exercise

Elephant symbolizes republicans. The basket could perhaps denote himself a basketcase. There's a lot of psychomumbo when it comes to stuff like that. I did a course on it... the color of ties, the way they stand, the way they communicate etc etc

And probably that junket cost about $1m to taxpayers to showcase kiondos and wooden elephants. There are things Kenya produce competitively, Quality coffee and tea, avocado and macadamia. It would  have been wiser to market avocado and macadamia virgin oil. Things that china doesn't readily produce and kenya would have a competitive edge over china produced goods.

Hehehe...I have seen some people move up on kiondos wooden elephants though.  I am just surprised Birkin hasn't slapped its logo on one of those.

Guys you are complaining too much. To trade one has to be able to negotiate with foreign powers. Now we will be selling njugu karanga to China. So all these years we have been importing everything from tooth picks, totoilet paper to machinery from China we were not allowed to sell to them njugus?

With the trade fallout with US, Mwafrika would have benefited greatly and changed the shape of agriculture and the millions of subsisting peasants is he was strategic but despite Uhuru having been a vegetable vendor he is more concerned with his cut on SGR. With Wanjigi - the mr 10% back this time they will seal the SGR deals even without the feasibility studies.

Who cares about farmers or petty exporters?
