Title: New IPSOS survey shows the "most corrupt"
Post by: GeeMail on August 22, 2018, 03:22:06 PM
Qtr2 2018 survey of over 2000 respondents. To be published soon we hope. The usual suspects top the list. Maybe just perceptions.

Ruto and Waiguru could make a deadly combination in 2022 - just like when two ICC indicted UhuRuto made such great team in 2013. The perception of the most corrupt is just usual brouhaha from opponent fearing the duo.

But this one could be taken as a mischievous headline: https://www.tuko.co.ke/208396-7-serious-corruption-scandals-where-dp-ruto-did-not-participate-in.html#208396

Arap Mashamba ni mume. :D :D :D :D

Corruption is no ICC... no mzungu to blame for their "popularity" :) Unless they blame poor Dr Tom Wolf. This is an accurate survey IMHO.

Waiguru was elected after being fingered for corruption. She beat the champion of integrity one Martha Karua - who is still dazed in court corridors trying to understand. Sonko a well known jail bird  is Nairobi Governor. People who love Raila - are the ones who hate Ruto - and are of course claiming Ruto is corrupt :). It pretty simple. Let synovate gives us regional breakdown.

Synovate can and will give regional breakdown, sampling frame, interview clips etc. Then?

Are you disputing something? Kenyans think Ruto and Waiguru are very corrupt, not that they are unpopular. The same Ipsos gave Ruto 30% PORK lead in March I think. Corruption and popularity are not mutually exclusive.

The survey makes perfect sense - Ruto's opposition to lifestyle audit and Waiguru NYS. Uhuru is at 11% too... and senile Nyayo. I don't smell manipulation here.

:D In Kenya it is even a reason for endorsement. Waiguru should learn from Ruto and stop complaining.

Oh yes.  It's conflated with intelligence and effectiveness.

Where everyone is corrupt, people will look for other attributes including intelligence and effectivness. Nobody is buying BS like corruption, tribalism and such double-speak. People know hypocrisy when they see it. They know all our politician are corrupt and tribal. You aint winning election if you ran on anti-tribal and anti-corrupt platform because nobody in his right mind in kenya think that is even possible :) But if you come and say I did this - cattle dip or water tank - people will most likely listen to you.

Nobody has ever sued Synovate for claiming they are the most popular political candidate. Why should anybody sue when the pendulum swings the other way?

Ignoring the useless poll, it appears NASA have really hemorrhaged support. Only 35% identify themselves as NASA - while about 50% are Jubilee.

Why is Ruto protesting so hard? I thought Kenyans don't care about corruption. Seen his angry retorts on twitter.

If Ruto and Waiguru were to be entertained, EABL should sue CNN pronto.

Ruto faces more body blows... as handshake dominates the agenda. 87% of Kenyans support building bridges.

President Uhuru Kenyatta was singled out by 42 percent of the population as the one responsible for the right direction the country is taking, followed by Opposition leader Raila Odinga, at 36 per cent. Only 2% of Kenyans say Deputy President William Ruto is responsible for positive direction in the country.

Corruption, stealing cannot be a badge of honor to anyone. Am yet to meet a parent even deep in the village proudly claim their child is a thief. Rarely will a thief admit he or she is a thief....
