I don't do rumours. I deal with reliable information.Before the handshake happened - I had seen Uhuru trying to extend his term. The day he "mistreated" Kiunjuri during appointment was clear signal he was not committed to Ruto-Kiunjuri deal as I thought then and had other ideas up his sleaves. That I believe is the game here.What Uhuru understimate is Ruto. He probably thought he'd take it on his stride but Ruto is very decisive & has no time for equivocation. Jubilee and it's gov is going to unravel so fast. The clear winner is Raila Odinga. He is looking like a genius.

We told you very clear and reliable facts but you decided to label it "rumors" and now want to celebrate it. You should learn to listen, you might actually get some facts on time.
Ruto will reach out to Raila eventually. But right now watching Uhuru say he has no problem allowing his brother to be prosecuted and seeing him still drunk from last night's debauchery, I see a defeated man. Only a miracle can rescue him or if Ruto decides to be merciful.
UHURU says his brother should be charged if found guilty of importing contraband sugar, assures Kenyans he has confidence in all the agencies mandated to fight corruption.
(Note that the statements contains contradictions and reflects the mediocrity of our journalists. Guilt is what courts determine and charging is what prosecutors do before that. So you have really no business "charging" a man who has already been found guilty by the courts).

Anyway let me admit I am still surprised by the Jubilee stupidity. This is mutually assured destruction. Uhuru and his corrupt guys trying to fight corruption seriously is self-assured destruction. The way I see, Uhuru has some serious dirt on Ruto & his men (NIS supplied Kroll associate report detailing Ruto's newly acquired wealth) - but what he probably doesn't know his that Ruto has parrallel NIS with dirt on Uhuru & his men. They are both going to need Raila...after the war...they will be equally crippled, blind and deaf (side story I have two bros who are like Uhuru and RUto.. one day I arrived in "mavoko" to find both nearly gone blind/crippled - they had fought each other to near death :) - one of them is very physically strong - the other very strong-willed -- the people who witnessed their fights told me they nearly killed each other)--..and Raila will pick the pieces. Uhuru is vicious when scorned - and Ruto is methodological & lethal. This is guaranteed destruction. Jubilee kaput. Jubilee gov kaput.

I think it was bound to happen. The deal was never made in good faith by one side. There is trouble because Ruto rightfully senses that there are moves at an advanced stage to get rid of him and he has refused to go.
The anti-graft war is not mainly built on envy as you suggested; In my opinion some novice told them to target Ruto on corruption and they will have his head on a silver plate for lunch and his supporters for dinner. We I think the cannibals will not be having any dinner or lunch. Cannibal Meat will be served at some feast.
The winner will need Raila. I can already see the loser going by the delegations heading to Upper Hill. I think they are locked out of State House by Uhuru's mandarins and the only way they can reach Uhuru is through Raila. What a mess.
I an way I am glad I was around to see how Moi dealt with crises. One thing he knew and lived by was to steer clear of any drunk advisers. He would rely on sober calculating minds. Those with tempers and anger were useful where they would be deployed to for their "talent". Uhuru cannot beat this.

The only thing I am surprised/confused about here is Ruto's decisiveness-assuming this is a true report of what happened. I thought he would do the Kittuny dance for a little bit and buy time. He seems ready to take the war right to Ouru's door-steps right now. I either under-estimated him or he is a complete idiot.

There is nothing like fighting corruption. Both Uhuru and Ruto are the biggest beneficiaries of corruption from stealing the elections to massive financial gain.
Th fight is now for who will have the reins of power after 2022. Uhuru has been convinced by his entourage that he is too young to retire, but his guys are just not yet ready to let go of the goodies. The only person standing in their way is Ruto and the only person that can help them bring Ruto down is Raila. It is not that they allover sudden love Raila, but their greed for goodies makes them even jump to bed with the devil.
Raila should just play it cool and see which side has to offer the best deal or let them bring each other down and he picks the crumbs.
Btw, where are Kalonzo and Musalia these days? Even the loud Wetangula has gone silent. :)
