Title: Dubai or is it Waiguru buses for cheap
Post by: gout on March 25, 2018, 04:48:49 PM
The political goodwill and cheap well trained labour that NYS had and still has can see it create new and  disrupt old models in nearly every sector.

We still have no school for makangas despite it being one of the biggest employer. Textile- the wear African directive is good- already in the streets people are donning African prints all over. Have NYS produce these African prints for cheap. Uniforms, cheap shoes for kids.
Galana Kulalu irrigation scheme?!! Already Yatta is doing quite well.

These useless violent drills mean nothing. What discipline while dirty poor?

As a supporter of the NYS model this is quite encouraging. Let's see how it rolls and the lessons we may pick or never pick as we usually do.

We've seen this before. Instead of crreating policies for the sector the govt is destroying the sector leaving many jobless, hpmeless, etc. This is a bad idea. Yes it saves money at the expense of many disruptions.

Dont't even bother to worry. The project will go nowhere. The head of NYS says the only expense he has is fuel. Such a dumb guy should be fired immediately. What about maintence of the buses? Arap Moi tried the same and the DAF buses ended up on stones. Same will happen to these Chinese buses. They are not even concepted for public transport in towns.
There is no major concept for this mighty task. How can a person just wake up in the morning and decide NYS should start offering bus services in Nairobi? Are we serious as a nation?
