Judge has ordered a physical recount.
A Judge has ordered for scrutiny and a recount of votes cast in the Embakasi East Constituency during the August 8 General Election.

Justice Joseph Sergon has a colorful history. He has had a ruling declaring him unfit to serve set aside on a technicality. Sounds like those Nyayo era Tunoi types. If I told you that I envy Babu Owino's situation, I'd be lying.
“The board unanimously (with three members recused) finds that the mistakes and/or errors which have been established in respect of both complaints are incurable and therefore sufficiently weighty to justify reviewing and setting aside the determination of unsuitability”

Recount... meaning a new winner could be declared without a by-election?
Embakasi East includes Kayole which is plurality Kamba. A by-election would depend heavily on who has more say there - Sonko vs Kalonzo.

The fix is in. Once you hear about these judges, Tunoi, Sergon, Cheruyoit just know the fix is in but their day is coming. You wait.

I doubt it would yield much, just the usual clerical errors which will probably cancel out.
Babu May have intimidated voters and all but influencing the counting? Next impossible in such a neutral/even constituency. Such stuff is reserved for strongholds.
I can credit Negro with thinking three steps ahead. Jubilee inflates in favor of Babu and a petition corrects that reversing his victory so as to paint NASWA as thieves and Jubilee victims while consigning Babu to oblivion and humiliation, but we both know Jubilee simpletons can’t pull such a stunt.
The one guy I pity is Nixon Korir of Langata. I think he won with less than 100. That margin can evaporate in a nanosecond.
PS
I love the trend of dismissing these frivolous petitions with costs; it’ll make a petitioner think hard before trying to be famous

You and your buddy Windy City need to add to your hate list- Kalenjin Justice Luka Kiprotich Kimaru - the guy who tried in vain to save Miguna arse. I know you didn't know he was Kalenjin. He clearly qualifies to be among the list of corrupt judges.

Indeed. Embakasi East has many Luo-Luhyas especially in Soweto & related slums. In my polling station in Embakasi social hall...I saw form 34A for my stream...Uhuru had 200 votes including mine..and Raila had 600. The petitioner is wasting time and money here...he'll get beat again by Babu Owino...unless of course they "withdraw" from elections by IEBC.

There is always an outlier but the majority of kalenjin are inherently corrupt.

Yep - The fix is well and truly in. If they were brave they should have called a by-election.....it's quicker.

Miguna did not need any ass saving. The state did not have a case even to present to the judge. The judge had no choice. The state counsel said he had no idea what was going on and therefore the only lawyers who had anything to say in court were Miguna's lawyers.

The point is not their tribe, but the whiff of shadiness around them. Their shared ethnicity is just a coincidence. Some of the most corrupt leaders during the Nyayo era were not Kalenjin.

Do you recall any Luo or Luhya judge with a whiff of shadiness. Your memory is really sharp if you know Sergon that much. I trust you can tell us off head shady luhya judges- shouldn't be hard to know some of your tribesmen..

Let's not be fixated on the tribe. I have already pointed out corruption is not a preserve of Kalenjins. In any case, this thread is about Babu and the guy presiding happens to be Sergon. Let's wait and see how that recount pans out.

The thread that your started so you can cast your tribal inspired aspersion on Sergon has now acquired a life of it's own. Why should we wait for Babu thing? He is a nobody as far as I am concerned. I don't know why you're dead worried...well maybe he is NASA rising star :D :D
