Very interesting press conference going on there.... East Africa is taking a new shape
BBC evil journalist dealt with from @12:20 :)

Museveni now claims he will go the Magufuli route. The irony could not have been lost on Magufuli. Uganda’s corruption is only dwarfed by its neighbor to the East. The culprits? Museveni’s own people. And he has been in power over 30 years.
Either way, they are moving in ways that should augur well for their two countries. The numbers Magufuli says TZ is recovering from his maverick style are staggering.

Impressive fight against graft. That is one failure of Jubilee regime. Obviously Magufuli one-man show instead of building institutions mean at end of the day - kenya model will win again.

I think Magufuli is laying the moral foundation upon which you can build a more effective institutions. In Kenya we built the institution upon a corrupt system and the institutions are collapsing one after the other. Even the three branches of government are collapsing. The executive branch is Kalenjin/Kikuyu mafia based, the legislature is 100% controlled by the two tribe mafia and they are now busy destroying the judiciary. Kenya is going down so fast its not even funny. Even Museveni and Kagame are trying to distance themselves from Ouruto.

Nyerere laid the moral foundation but tz is still shiet.Kenya set a path of development..and you know who is on top.Kalenjin and gema have put kenys in the map by producing tonnes of coffee, tea, milk, flowers and hortuculutres that are recognised globally as being the very best ever...the rest of the country can really learn from that.Talk is cheap but to fathom whas smallholder tea farmers have done in kenya since 1963 is to undetstand what it takes to become global leader or what uhuru has done with brookside..kikuyu dairy industry is truly admitable. And so is their horticulture

One reporter asked him how his actions affect the institutions and he raised an interesting point. The situation in which institutions have been captured by the bad guys; in that case, the institution is actually part and parcel of the problem. Ideally, changing individuals in charge should do the trick. But in a society where criminality is seen as just another legitimate attribute for success, you need a person that can jump start them on the correct trajectory.

Also the macadamia industry which is thriving in the midst of coffee subsector. Already there are serious players in Ngugi(kenya nut), Jungle nut, Afrinuts and Munga equitorial nuts. Already Kenya is the third global macadamia producer after Austrialia and South Africa. And the beauty of it Kenyan companies are selling fully processed nuts e.g Macadamia available on British Airways (produced by Kenya nut).

Indeed hk..if the rest of kenya were half as serious and focussed like kikuyu farmers we would be so far ahead...but you places still doing the same kind of activities their great grand parents..and they want to rule kenya. My dad advice to kalenjin in 80s till now...learn from kikuyus and work together..am glad wsr now is fully on board.Anything else is path to darkness.

Yup. Talk is really cheap. The Luo need to utilize their resources starting with Lake Victoria where folk still use antiquated wooden boats. What we need now are economic debates not more laws and endless bickering. How do we double or triple the pie? This needs industry not 'institutions".
