I guess that’s one way of viewing the rule of law and an independent judiciary.

It appears you are enthusiastic about years and years of executive branch dictatorships of Kenyatta, Moi and now Ouru.

I am okay with Mutunga court - this Maraga nonsense had bleed the economy 700B! and yet the man they were trying to appease basically chicken out from the political contest and tomorrow we will go for farcical election - when 8th election should have been upheld.
Judiciary should always remember - compared to parliament or executive - they are just a bunch of lawyers without the MANDATE of the people. They are not elected and therefore they should never equate themselves to other branches of gok - but should always make sober decisions.
Maraga made Africa first reversal in one of the most free, fair and credible election - and now we go into another wasteful election because the looser has basically ran away.

You need to put it into context. Most of these look to those years of "plenty" with nostalgia.
