IEBC is working overtime to ensure the old ballot boxes are recycled to expedite pork election process. Jubilee and AG adamant that ballot must kept intact for 3 years!
-
For the purpose of proving that Uthamaki was robbed.... the horse has bolted!
-
Ngatia's motivation is suspect but the boxes and all materials should be preserved. A governorship petitioner may want to determine if the presidential vote count matches the gubernatorial vote - and destroying or interfering with the ballots by unsealing, etc - would prejudice this especially with fake/disputed forms 34A and B.
-
Everything should be preserved and not be reused. And that should include the servers; Odunga is going to issue an order to open them up one of these days.
-
A box shouldnt cost more than 500 but with tenderpreneurs that can shoot to 2K
2k * 40K=80M
Muite was just pulling our leg

The assumption is the ballot boxes were opened to enable the counting of ballots? In which case, those ballots do not necessarily need to be stored back in ballot boxes. They can be kept in small more secure containers, heck hata lunchboxes or even coolies.
Githu just wants to preserve the stuffed ballots....

Some centres will need more than one ballot box, no? I hear there are millions of voters in RV and Central.... lol

Githu didn't have a problem with this. It just isn't the law. I agree with Ngatia on this. Unsealing and opening the boxes so the IEBC can use them again sets a bad precedent and is probably illegal.

Especially because you may need them in other petitions say early next year... now if the ballots are no longer in the boxes but in cartons or gunias... chain of custody manenos.

It's on ballot per polling station. Centers are just locale of multiple stations such as schools.
We have 40,833 stations

Somebody at iebc will make 40M profit from iebc plastic boxes...muite had to be reminded,
Without Prejudice.

Githu, Ngatia, et. al. are very keen on revisting the case once they get rid of Maraga led judiciary.

Kadame,
Do you honestly think the ballot boxes haven't been interfered with? Why do we want to preserve these doctored ballots?
