In Kenia, I am not sure what is thicker, money or blood. I think for Wanjiku its the blood because usually she is not offered big money, however  for the Ababu's and Njoki's, its da money. I think like Ababu, Njoki, and the other fallen heroes and heroines  really believed in the 2nd liberation until they were shown the big money.  It reminds one of Jesus H. Christ on the Hill looking down with Satan's arm around him showing him all that land and all the possibilities of having a heaven here on earth.  I am told Moi used to bring out the brief case full of cash open it up  and enjoy watching how quickly greed break-down men of "stature" as he gave his standard lecture them about "siasa mbaya maisha mbaya".

That is why Democracy cannot survive corruption and impunity.  You only offer people 500 million if you acquired it through corruption. There is no way Mama Ngina would allow MWU to withdraw money from the family business to give it to out like that.  I hear she was not happy about the amount of money paid to Ruto from the family business  in 2013 although she knew it would be recovered 10 fold.
