Title: To Be Fair Uhuru Kenyatta is Bewildered
Post by: Omollo on September 01, 2017, 06:51:52 PM
Watching the things he is saying and the indirect threats directed at Maraga, I can only say he is stunned and will need plenty of time to cool down and recollect his thoughts.

It was a wrong decision to go out in the streets and mirror Raila. He should have stayed home, sent a written statement to media houses and only later comment on the case without naming the person of Chief Justice. He is endangering Maraga because his supporters may go further than him. It is un-statesman-like.

This is what I can say by bending over backwards to understand his predicament.

Enyewe it is a first for the continent and as I understand it, only the third WORLD WIDE! :o Apparently, only the Maldives and Austria have ever done this. So the man is stunned. Who isn't? But he had been drinking. He's not sober. Ruto and kina Mama Ngina should have insisted he not leave State House today. The statement you suggest and perhaps an address by Ruto should have sufficed for today. It was soooo uncomfortable watching his presser, I just skipped after a short while.

I agree. Laila needs to SHUT the F... UP!!
Praise should be to judicial independence.
I heard the right wing spin this one on NPR.org and its not pretty.

Nobody has ever taken on the power of the executive till now.
The judiciary exercising its powers is beyond bewilderment.
The govt killed Msando so that they can rig the elections.

Yeah.  The very idea that he is not all powerful - at least to the locals - is sitting poorly with him.  They usually take it from foreign powers, but not mere locals.  Hopefully the other independent institutions take cue from this and start working.

I think he was drunk. Some of the utterances are shameful. As one who is often foul mouthed I have chosen to excuse him. The damage to himself and the presidency though is huge
