It is just a stupid decision. Government deregistering an NGO is the best thing that can happen to it. It continues operations and even courts arrests and harassment. More money. Makau should thank ass licking Fazul.
Moi once banned Greenbelt movement, then denied he had but shut down their accounts. Wangari Maathai died a billionaire with some of the biggest bank accounts in Tanzania, Rwanda, Gabon and Europe.

A ban in some state would mean something. In countries that provide direct financial support or like the US where recognition by itself allows the organization tax exemption status and for donors to deduct donations from their taxes.
So inn Kenya it is very useful to be "deregistered". Funding of NGOs by many donors is not dependent on them being "registered".
