A pity that in the election din our athletes are not getting the attention they deserve.   Man Of The Week is Conseslus Kipruto, who has been injured for most of the period since late-June, has had to skip Diamond League race, has not put in much practice ... and the general expectation was that he would get beaten by the American Evan Jager (bookies' favourite for the Gold).

Amazing fact about Kipruto: the guy can do a flat 400m in 47 secs.   World record is around 43 secs.    Perhaps more amazing (?) is that on the "steeples" he actually has a rather sloppy hurdling technique, especially when compared with a guy like Evan Jager, but still manages to win.  I think that even a modest change in hurdling technique will land him a world record
