I was disappointed when Ruto failed to show up. Uhuru need to show up. If not then he is running away from something. He should come there and face kenyans.

I am glad Ouru missed, but you have to wonder who is advising him.  Everybody in Kenya including Raila die supporters know that eloquence is NOT his forte. Why would ouru miss such an opportunity  is beyond me. He is young and he is eloquent and how better to show this than standing side by side and answering questions.  Which question was he so scared of which he has not dealt with before.  The optics favored him abundantly.  The Ibo has a saying that "when the gods want to kill you, they first take away your mind".

On housing raila really struggled on how to lower rates until after break and in closing indicated the government will invest in cheap public housing. A clear walk away from he had advocated earlier in campaigns.

It's the only way to bring down his impossible 60% to 55%

Looking  at twirra pulse, NASWA initially celebrated a whole 90min of uninterrupted rhetoric, but then a few hours later they realize they were shortchanged; now they are busy attacking Uhuru for skipping instead of being grateful for the platform. The idea that Uhuru's bid was dealt a blow by his skipping is unfounded.

Most Nasa supporters I know are very pleased with Raila's performance.  The core Jubilee and Nasa Supporters are not going to be swayed by these debates, however, Raila showing up is good for the future presidential debates.  I believe that no presidential candidate will again skip the debate and give his/her opponent 90 minutes of free air time. This issue is now settled and Kenya has Raila to thank for showing up.  Ouru has always undermined democracy while Raila has always done thing  Raila  will go down in history as an individual who positively shaped and influenced the political culture of Kenya in ways that few have.

Babu showing was good I agree. The value of these debates will be felt when the results are announced. Should Uhuru thrash Babu, the conversation will seriously change. Debates should not be overrated to the extent of blackmailing candidates into attending
