I guess this kindnof endorsements send cold shivers up the spine of William Ruto and his supporters. Four years ago his word was the Law that ruled Kalenjin land. Today people have seen through his games. They know he went to sell them to Mama Ngina and they don't like it one bit
Kalenjins can support any leader irrespective of tribe, just like they did in 2007, when they supported Raila Odinga, Chama Cha Mashinani leader Isaac Rutto has said.
“There is no problem if we vote for him once again. This time, in fact, we are going to support him fully,” he said on Saturday at a meeting in Bomet.
He was defending his move to support Raila and NASA.
“Kalenjins voted for Odinga in 2007 and there is no problem if we vote for him once again this round in fact we are going to support him fully no one should try and convince us further as to why we are supporting him,” Rutto said.
He expressed optimism that with Odinga being NASA’s flag bearer they were assured of winning the seat and send the Jubilee administration home come August 8.
Rutto said he is optimistic that NASA will win the election and send the Jubilee administration home on August 8.
“As principals in the coalition we all settled on Raila as our candidate because of his age and he will lead us for one term before other co-principals have it on a rotational basis,” he said.
Rutto urged the IEBC to ensure the general election is free and fair.
"IEBC must assure us that the election process is free…we do not want to hear these claims of rigging since Kenyans are eagerly waiting and they expect nothing but results that reflect their will,” he added.

Hallucination. Raila is getting less Kalenjin votes now than he got in 2013 when he had leaders supporting him from every kalenjin county. Now he has desperate Isaac with very little support if any. In 2013 - he had Ass minister Beatrice Kones from Bomet (Joyce Laboso jumped ship late), Cabinet Sec Franklin Bett & Ass Min Margerer from Kericho, Henry & Sally Kosgey from Nandi district, Prof Margaret Kamar in Uasin Gishu, Sirma from Baringo and Ass Min Lithole & Julius Murgor from West Pokot - now he has Isaac Ruto & Zakayo Cheruiyot.

Not surprising that he does not give any reason why they should vote for Raila. And that is because they don't need any. He just believes that somehow they will see that he has balls the size of boulders and follow him. He knows if he told them that they should dump the hustler because said hustler is a certified big time thief, that won't count for anything.
That said, NASA is better off assuming the Kalenjin will march lockstep like automatons behind the hustler over a cliff if need be. The lemmings analogy is apt. That applies to all the other major ethnic groups, including the Luhya.

I think most of those jumped ship.
I have learned over the years that some people we rely on in politics can be a liability. Laboso jumped ship as did many. Sally Kosgei pandered to Ruto long enough to ruin ODM so she was no help. The point is, it was impossible to fight the ICC especially when Raila had made the blunder of leading the Mau Evictions.
Like we had told him, Mudavadi was unreliable and he should instead bank of Ruto, he saw it in 2013.
This time it is not about the person Raila as it was in 2007, 2013. This time it is about the fate of all Kenyans and Raila has understood that. That is why he has no interfered in the primaries. He has cut off some of the characters that mixed closeness with selling him...

Correction: The brief story in a deeply Pro-Uhuru rag does not fully report on a meeting that lasted six hours and an hour long speech. You can approach the Governors office for a full speech and therein you will find his listing the reasons why people in Kenya should vote for Raila. I listened to the speech and can tell you he listed Devolution where under Raila, more funds will be devolved while under Uhuru, he will continue to undermine devolution by keeping most of the revenue and dishing out to his own tribesmen and family.
