Title: Will Raila do the honorable thing and Tosha Kalonzo? Time is running out.
Post by: RV Pundit on April 05, 2017, 01:43:44 PM
First there is no joint nomination after ODM gave certificate to their candidates.

Second Kalonzo or wiper quit.

Is there a deadline for when they should have named the nominee?  I think if Kalonzo quits, he won't move with all or even most Kambas.  Granted Ukambani would become a battleground.

Raila needs to step aside and play a more pivotal role in the background. A great leader will do exactly that. Let him unite as he did Kibaki's time to remove Moi.

Going by what's happening about Ruaraka, Raila is too busy right now .... focusing on other matters .. indulging his anti-democracy tendencies and messing up his own base.  More failure to learn from 2013.

Omollo Simanova had told us that

Unfair nominations were a major problem in ODM. We have tried to spin it but the truth is that there was a massive fuckup. The problem was people who because of closeness to Raila felt they did not need to be subjected to democracy. If this repeats itself I will be the first to throw in my towel.

Raila has assured the party and coalition that there will be 1. Joint Nominations 2. Free and fair nominations. The exception are areas like Gatundu where we stand no chance. Such places will see virtually anybody who wants the ticket

From 2007 babu has been auctioning nomination certificates to the highest bidder, and the presence of moneyed governors thos time round is icing on the cake. This is just round 1, round 2 occurs when nominations are rigged.

Raila is a nepotist.  Family first.  He is a bit like Trump, without the early stage Alzheimer's.
