Title: Operation Get Joho Out
Post by: Omollo on March 28, 2017, 06:18:46 PM
Sometimes a leader gets obsessed with something or someone. Sophocles wrote about it; So did multiple African Writers.

Oedipus went on a search for the truth. He eventually found it. Kongi seeks to receive the First Yam of the Harvest (reserved for the Spirit of harvest). He gets it as well. Both Oedipus and Kongi are greatly harmed by their achievement.

Hassan Joho did not register nor sat for the year 1992 KCSE examination at Sarani School under index number 160092024

The use of NOR:
Quote
nor
/nôr/
conj. conjunction
1. used before the second or further of two or more alternatives (the first being introduced by a negative such as “neither” or “not”) to indicate that they are each untrue or each do not happen:
"they were neither cheap nor convenient"
2. used to introduce a further negative statement:
"the struggle did not end, nor was it any less diminished"

If he sat for KCSE in '92, does that mean he was making noise one year later in the same school?

When Jubilee forged the certificate and replaced it with the genuine one they entered 1992. Joho sat for his exams in 1993

This is what got him in trouble. Someone thinks he went to the US to collect dirt. I understand that is what they are questioning him about. Apparently Joho retweeted this from Juma and people are panicking

Even if he uttered a certificate with a D- Plus he still could not have qualified for admission to The University of Nairobi.

Joho gained admission because he had a diploma from a middle level college to add to his Form Four certificate.

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is likely to be charged with forging a KCSE result slip for admission to the University of Nairobi.

Officers handling the case told the Star in confidence that the file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution for action.

Detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said they are almost finalising the probe into how Joho gained entry into UoN.

The officers are interested in a result slip issued in Joho's name, claiming he sat for his KCSE at Serani high school in 1992.

Joho on Tuesday recorded a statement at Mombasa DCI headquarters.

He disowned the slip under probe, insisting he scored D- (minus) during the 1993 examinations at Serani secondary school.

On Monday, the school defended Joho saying the governor was their bonafide student.

Of contention is not whether he was at the school but how he ended up listing for classes at UoN with a forged result slip.

Abbas Juma Ulaya said Joho was at the school from February 1990 and left in November 1993, having successfully sat his KCSE exams.

The governor, on the other hand, said he is ready to defend himself in court over the allegations.

He accused the Jubilee administration of intimidating his because of political stance. Joho is ODM deputy party leader.

Leaders among them Siaya Senator and lawyer James Orengo, woman representative Mishi Mboko, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and ODM secretary general Agnes Zani accompanied Joho to the DCI.

Kingi accused the government of applying selective justice in Joho’s case.

Do Kenyan Universities verify education credentials or do they just accept whatever is submitted to them.  If that is the case then there must be thousands of students. During my time it was impossible to enter  a secondary school or a university with fake certificates.  If Joho entered the university with fake certificates then it is an indictment on the institution than on Joho.

indeed. The rich have it while the rest struggle, and the govt has no concern for them. Policy after another favor the super wealthy. Kenya will never reach South Korea status any time soon.
