Come ten years later this will be the biggest expenditure. These pple have not done anything to improve the economy which has 50% employment among youth. This money can be used to build schools and roads.

Kenya seems to be very rich. Look at the proposed salary increments of the president, DP and senior members of the government.
Na hiyo ni maendeleo!

Mogusii do not eat grass.  Other governors prefer immediate gratification.  They just steal straightway.

I think there is a body responsible for all this nonsense, Salary Commission or something like that.  The one MPs told to go to hell.  I wonder what other countries(organized ones) do for politicians who leave public life.

I do not think even the county governments or cities like New York can afford this for their chief executive retirement plans.  This is simply outrageous. Its almost like punishing the tax payers for electing these goons.

In NYC a police officer who works 20yrs can retire and continue getting pension till death. They keep revising to save skyrocketing costs. Rural cities don't have pensions rather they contribute to a pool and take it out when they retire.
I am not sure about the mayor of NYC and the governor of NYS.
