I mean he's 90 and she is 40 - excuse me. I would normally not mind but this lecher - with two wives already and divorcing one - just humiliated his wife of 60 years.
The wife lacks a good advocate. Those are already grounds to question Kibor's mental health. I would drag the case on until he is six feet deep. The so called new wife would have her "marriage" annulled to teach such malayas a lesson.
Politician Jackson Kibor, 86, has married his 40-something-year-old lover just months after filing for divorce from his second wife.
Kibor and Yunita tied the knot two weeks ago and pictures of them on an outing have made him the talk of Eldoret town.
The wedding was only attended by a few family members and friends.
“We decided to formalise our marriage so we put things right once and for all,” said Yunita.
Kibor will be back in court on February 1 for the proceedings of his divorce from 67-year old Josephine.
There was drama in an Eldoret court last month when Josephine wailed during a hearing and said said Kibor was insensitive.
“Why are you putting me through all this? What have I done to deserve this? I am unwell and can only continue when I get well,” she said.
But Kibor insisted the case proceed to full hearing.
Kibor, once a powerful, Kanu bigwig filed for divorce last months, after 51 years of marriage - he married Josephine in 1965.
The politician told senior principal magistrate Charles Obulutsa that he wanted the case concluded quickly so he could move on.
“You can see how disrespectful she is. Someone sick cannot make such a loud wail in court. What I want is the divorce and that is it,” he said.
Kibor accused his second wife of desertion, cruelty and interfering with his 800-acre property in Kipkabus, Uasin Gishu county.
“She is my wife but I have not slept in the house I built for her for the last 30 years. She does not respect me and has abandoned the farm for long, causing the death of my livestock and chickens,” he said.
But Josephine told the court she loves and respects her husband and does not understand why he filed for divorce.

I am decrying the dearth of good lawyers in Kenya. Where did all the lawyers who used to keep poorly qualified magistrates and judges awake go? Kenya started off well and was fast becoming a litigious society. I have heard some people speak of that (litigious society) as being negative. I disagree. I nevertheless wholly agree with Jonathan Swift in Gulliver's Travels when he writes:
I assured his Honour, that Law was a Science wherein I had not much conversed, futher than by employing Advocates, in vain, upon some Injustices that had been done me. However, I would give him all the Satisfaction I was able.
I said there was a Society of Men among us, bred up from their Youth in the Art of proving by words multiplied for the Purpose, that White is Black, and Black is White, according as they are paid. To this Society all the rest of the People are Slaves.
For Example. If my Neigbour hath a mind to my Cow, he hires a Lawyer to prove that he ought to have my Cow from me. I must then hire another to defend my Right; it being against all Rules of Law that any Man should be allowed to speak for himself.
Now in this Case, I who am the true Owner lie under two great Disadvantages. It is a Maxim among these Lawyers, that whatever hath been done before, may legally be done again: And therefore they take special Care to record all the Decisions formerly made against common Justice and the general Reason of Mankind. These, under the Name of Precedents, they produce as Authorities to justify the most iniquitous Opinions; and the Judges never fail of decreeing accordingly.

Is anybody minding Kibor's first wife? This lecher is dumping his wife of 60 years. In Africa it means she becomes a pauper. The man wants to kick the wife off the land and then sell it to entertain this malaya.

It is a complex situation. An an aging African man will obviously feel his power threatened with the children grown up and ganging up with their mothers given the early days heavy handedness of the mzee wa nyumba.
The scramble for mzee's properties by lazy good for nothing kids with support from the mother and relatives wont let you sit easy.
The fact that the children will take their mother to live with her in towns, makes matters worse and younger women in the village looking for basic sustenance will fall for tajiri kama Kibor who is looking for companionship and someone to cook for him.

I don't understand the beef. Grant the divorce and share the wealth accordingly. Marriage is not permanent. If any party feel it over; it is over. The issues the court should grapple with is how to divide the wealth. I say split it 50-50.
Kibor is free to marry even a 18 yr old if he wants as long as the law allows - I am assuming he married through Nandi customs.

You have captured part of what I stated. I am not seeing the advocate of the wife pushing for that settlement. If he is then he has not explained it to the lady who screamed in the court because she fears for her upkeep and life generally.
The advocate appeared too forthcoming towards Kibor and one could be excused for thinking he is working for Kibor. I miss the passion and the determination to see the law applied fairly to protect both parties.
