Title: Man of the year Matiangi set to release KCPE results - 1 month early
Post by: RV Pundit on December 01, 2016, 11:06:11 AM
This man has restored the integrity of our national exams and deserves kudos. One wish we had 10 matiangis...people who really care about their job.

He seems to be the only CS doing his job.

I will withhold my ululations until after the Form Four results have been accurately keyed in to the computers.

1. If cheating is over, why are national schools and well known cheating schools still collecting 10k or more per student per term?
2. Why has Matiangi not acted against Principals of Cheating Schools (he knows each and every one of them)
3. Will he stand firm against the Alliance Schools Lobby?

Again this underlines what I have said before. Matiangi is doing what KNEC should be doing. KNEC should get out of the business of setting and administering exams and concentrate on supervision of exams bodies. It should be elevated to and authority and different Exams Boards licensed.

Cheating arose for various reasons but in my opinion the biggest cause is that KNEC became overwhelmed. Imagine when they hit the 30 million candidates?

it is a shame something as basis as exams is seen as a victory. We need to really elevate our moral ethics as a people. We can continue relying of others to enforce what is basic requirement of decency. Kudos to CS but I would rather him spend his time looking and tackling larger issues like ensuring education is affordable. KNEC should actually be ashamed that it took the intervention of CS for them to do their job. what a shame. It is like Uhuru waiting for Donors to start calling his bluff before he tackles corruption
