Wajir also has gas.

Lamu has oil offshore.

Kitui has Coal.

Tharaka nithi Iron more.

Kwale minning rare minerals.

More is needed to be done to geologically map and mine minerals underneath most of dry parts of kenya.

At this rate Kenya will attain her middle income status in short order, but if only.....

Maybe. TZ last decade growth has been fueled by it's mining.
