I think Obama was right. Many years down the line, he might have changed his view and he will behave like a typical white tourist or expat.

Of course, this is the sort of thing that encourages racist baiting. Nevertheless we need to look at some of these "awkward" issues that actually reflect a certain reality .... And there are numerous secondary aspects to that: skin lightening and weaves of sorts among women, Kenyans from the "diaspora" getting better treatment (and milking it) because they now live in the lands of the wazungus, etc. Matters to do with "national psychology" and "national self-esteem" ... all the way from the remnants of colonialism ...

The article was trying to reflect Obama in a negative sense although he was pointing the truth. A typical American will not read into it. These days I check the source of the article and if its Fox News or affiliates, I skip and read the next.

True. But what we need to do is to look into these issues for ourselves and what they say about us. Does the objectivity of such material depend on some random "source" (Fox etc.) when we already know the facts? "Sources" are irrelevant; we need to focus on what we should to "uplift" Africa.

Those points you raise are true. And it will remain that way until the Kenyan and African in general wakes up. Nobody is going to respect folks who cannot take themselves seriously. And I don't mean in superficial things like weaves and bleaching. But the cavalier attitude towards governance that they have.
I was just pointing out that Alex Jones' motivations are not so much to highlight that issue as much as to remind white folks that Obama is not one of them. Obama represents a reminder in a large segment of white Americans that their days as a majority are coming to an end. Alex Jones is a shill for Trump.
