Title: Mega Sh217bn railway cities project
Post by: RVtitem on October 03, 2016, 04:45:09 PM
Kenya is getting closer to
constructing commercial hubs around
railway stations in Nairobi, Mombasa
and Kisumu at an estimated cost of
Sh217 billion. The government had commissioned
studies to determine the most
effective investment option for the
mega projects that will involve office
complexes, hotels, shopping malls,
industrial parks and arcades on land surrounding railway stations.

Reading  the article, I note that the "mega cities" will sit on a grant total of 400 acres.    :D

People already have bought lands for speculation.

Moreover, economic analysis may favour mega malls and plot subdivision/speculation instead of industrial zones.
