This is a region where ODM and Raila are suppose to be unabeatable.

Jubilee is dodo in western, dont rely on what nation is writing.Talk to luhyas themselves.Western votes will go CORD or ANC.Uhuru will be lucky to manage 60K votes he got last time.
-
I think all the 60K were from Kalenjin Sabaots in Mt Elgon and few Kikuyu diaspora.Uhuru after messing up MaDVD & Wamalwa were not getting any Luhya votes. This time I am seeing upto 1/3 of Luhyas voting for Jubilee. I am seeing ODM getting 1/3. And the other third will go to MaDVD/other confused luhya presidential candidate.

You will be lucky to be listened to by Pundit and the Nation. I am talking about The Nation whose reporter hired goons to light up a fire and then report that Raila had "been forced to skip a rally in Mumias". They wrote that even as we were on the ground sending out photos of the rally.
Back to "The Jubilee 'wave' in Western Kenya": Pundit has not told us what it is Jubilee did in Western that people started flocking to it. Is it the main stalled Kisumu Webuye road which was commissioned by Raila and Kibaki (and Uhuru had to undertake a new commissioning when it was 15% complete?
Jubilee is dishing out cash to MPs. They are not stupid to reject the money. They are forced to stage some "rallies" for select journalists - always with close up images showing the bellowing "Jubilee". Jubilee in turn opens the wallets some more. Pundit celebrates that Raila is "done" in Western.
What is it the MPs are selling? Pan Paper which was SOLD to a Jubilee donor and which everybody knows is going nowhere once the few trees from government forests up towards Turbo are used up? Perhaps they should have compensated the people whose homes and crops and farms were ruined by acid rain from the plant. Nobody other than Lusaka is celebrating the so called "bailout" of PanPaper.
Is Western being offered the Deputy Presidency? Or the Presidency by Jubilee? Is any Luhya being allowed to CONTEST the ticket?
How about jobs? They were 50 - 50 which Pundit said Uhuru had delivered (even though some of us laugh under our breath and roll eyes). So how much % went to Luhyas? Oh I forgot... Eunice Wamalwa became minister for Jubilee Campaigns and Luhyas are supposed to sing and dance for that???
Pajero Western is not easy to please or impress. Here are some recent examples:
1. 1969 - Luhyas vote out Joseph Daniel Otiende by far the closest friend of Kenyatta in Western who had delivered votes to KANU when other areas had gone KADU. It was simply unheard of to reject a flag!!!
2. 2002 - Mudavadi appointed VP. Luhyas unimpressed. They wanted him to go for the Presidency as proposed by Raila. They dump him and his Vice Presidency with the rest of the household garbage
3. Moody Awori goes to elections as VP in 2007. Luhyas remain unimpressed especially when he started singing PNU to them (like Namwamba). They dump another VP complete with his flags
If Jubilee is hoping for votes in Western to win the presidency, they can start packing their bags and save us the shame of having to kick them out of state house. State House is 100% Kikuyu and that will be a herculean job.

Luhya is misonmer. I'd focus on the many sub-tribes and where each is going. Bukusu and Maragoli don't see eye to eye. Bukusu are split btw Ford-K and NFK(Jubilee). They don't buy this Raila idea because they know what Raila did to Kijana Wamalwa in 96. Maragolis will stick to Mudamba - they know what Mudamba father did to them. The Wangas have issues with Kidero & Raila regarding Mumias-long standing issues--so expect Washiali and Wangas to support Jubilee. Raila will get the Bunyores and Busia Luhyas -although that depend on how the fight for Busia governorship goes--Luhyas want to kick the Iteso out. Khawale and the other small tribes of Kakamega will not accept Raila backing of Oparanya. As for Tachonis's Sambu and other Mps seem to have gone Jubilee. That leaves us Jubilee's Sabaots and the Iteso. So Western is going to be interesting...but one thing is certain...Jubilee will do far better than they did in 12.

I dont think so,if this is anything to go by,then jubilee better forget western completely
New Ford Kenya has accused TNA and URP of mistreatment in sharing new Jubilee Party positions. Leader Kenneth Lusaka said the party might rethink its position if URP and TNA take all senior positions.
New Ford-K is among Jubilee affiliate parties that dissolved to join the new outfit. Speaking to the Star on the phone, Lusaka, Bumula MP Boniface Otsiula and his Webuye West counterpart Dan Wanyama said it is wrong to judge parties’ strength based on their performance in the last election.
“They are using a wrong parameter to judge the strength of parties. Unless we are given a serious position like that of secretary general, it will be very difficult to sell the outfit in Western,” Otsiula said. He said they joined the new outfit knowing they would be equal partners.
Lusaka, the Bungoma governor, said JP may not take off well if regions that did not vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013 are not incorporated as equal partners.
“We joined the Jubilee Party to have an outfit that will represent the face of Kenya. It is very wrong for anyone to think some regions are junior to others. That is unacceptable and we will have no other option but rethink our stand,” he said.
Wanyama said if Western is given a junior seat, it will become difficult to sell the party. Reports indicate Uhuru TNA and Deputy President William Ruto’s URP will get six of the 21 national positions. The other 13 affiliate parties will share the remaining 15 positions.
The party will be launched on September 10 in an event expected to be attended by more than 10,000 delegates. URP will take national chairman and organising secretary positions, while TNA will take secretary general and national treasurer positions.
Depending on their number of elected leaders, the other 10 parties will share out the positions of deputy national chairman, the three deputy secretary general positions and three deputy national treasurer posts.
The other affiliate parties will share the positions of deputy national organising secretary, national youth leader, national women’s leader and national leader of persons with disabilities.

I keep wondering why these Luhyas are joining Jubilee... after being offered Nairobi Governor position :o :o :o They should be demanding DPORK in 2022, 25% of GoK posts in 2017, and powerful Jubilee Party posts to enforce the SIGNED mou. But these FOOLS already dissolved their parties :( :( Why can't they have a coalition instead?? Amazing stupidity.
-
I think the only beneficiary is Wamalwa. The brainless Lusaka... the closest he should get to Jubilee is COALITION. With guaranteed benefits enforceable in court.
-
Perhaps am uninformed? Is it possible these men already pocketed the benefits? how else would they "merge" into mammoth new Kanu without INSURED benefits?? Or is this what Omollo is calling TUMBOCRACY?
