by police in 2 days.
Philando Castille. Alton Sterling.
I wake up, turn on the news and think they are still talking about the other guy, only to realize it's a different guy. No prizes for guessing how a jury of the police officers' peers will rule.
Two black men have been shot dead by police in the US this week, the latest in a line of similar incidents, many of which have led to protests.
Philando Castile was shot in his car in St Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday as he reached for his driving licence, his girlfriend said in a Facebook Live video taken during the aftermath.
His death follows that of Alton Sterling, who was shot dead by police during an incident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday.

Something to think about:

According to the information in the above link, twice as many whites have been shot and killed by police than blacks.

The white victims are still way below their proportion of the population. Blacks are over-represented at twice their population. An interesting piece of information left out of this are the circumstances. I suspect that not all the deaths are equal; that a lot more of the white deaths are justified than the black ones.
The examples I have seen on video, cops will go out of their way to NOT shoot a white guy who is literally asking for it, pointing a weapong at them and things like that. The black guy can be shot for little more than not immediately understanding what the cop is saying.

Drama in the last 24 hours. Downtown Dallas. AR-15s, most likely legally and almost laughably easily acquired, drop 12 officers, 5 of them dead.

Yikes!
I couldn't make it past a minute. It's just too sickening. Apart from the shooting, why aren't the cops administering first aid? She is in handcuffs. The dude is bleeding out right there, and clearly in shock (if not dead), and the cop is still pointing his gun at him like he is going to bounce back up and get a second wind. The right thing to do in that situation is to administer first aid until the paramedics arrive. Not just look at the shot dude. I get that the shooter might be too shocked to do anything, but surely he has a partner. In my experience, when one officer makes a traffic stop, a second officer calls in so that they will be backing the first officer.

Don't be black and have a break down.

According to witnesses, this one in North Carolina was sitting in his car reading, waiting for his son to get back from school. Police claim that he threatened them with a gun - who believes this kind of BS? In any case, North Carolina is an open-carry state.
In any case, kid gets home, daddy shot dead.
Police say they were serving an outstanding warrant when they came upon Keith Lamont Scott in his car. They say Scott got out, had a gun on him, and put the officers in imminent danger. Officer Brentley Vinson shot Scott.

It doesn't matter whether you are having a mental breakdown. Or your sister has called the 911 describing the problem as a mental or epileptic seizure. Or if you are a Zamundan. The solution is the same.
Alfred Olango. Sister called 911 for help with her mentally disabled brother. Police showed up and put him down within minutes.
Police officers shot and killed a black man they said drew an object from his pocket, pointed it at an officer and took what appeared to be a “shooting stance" in a San Diego suburb Tuesday, raising tensions among residents near the scene of the incident.
