Today I learned that a 14 year old boy broke into Queen Victoria's Buckingham Palace while disguised as a chimney sweep and then ran off with her underwear. (en.wikipedia.org)
I see London.
I see France.
I stole the Queen's - under pants.
May be purple, may be pink.
I don’t know, but they sure stink.
After intruding 3 more times the lad was banished to Naval and then to Berth Australia

Hilarious. He was lucky they didn't lop his head off. Apparently someone sold off the stinky pants for thousands.

Worn knickers can be a very lucrative business. In Japan, it is a huge industry, targetting businessmen who apparently like to sniff them while playing with the one-eyed snake or, as one suggested to me, wear them over the head while sorting out the wife. Vacuum-sealed worn knickers are readily available all over the place. The most desirable ones are those from schoolgirls, although there is now a law forbidding the sales of knickers used by anyone under 18; those from young married secretaries also sell well, I gather. Going by the existence of businesses that cater to non-Japanese and even export, apparently people from elsewhere in the world also have some use for them.

I imagine those from a queen would have a certain premium.
