to upgrade/rebuild school such as this in Tinderet. I am told that Nairobi has not constructed a single public primary school for decades. Schools building has been left to private entrepreneurs. GOK has really misplaced priorities in matters of education.

Coz since the 80s building of schools has been done by the community. CDF and counties nowadays are taking up that responsibility.
-
Kilimani Primary School is the same as it was in 1970s. Then the population in the area was 300k, now its 1million.

They should sell the coming laptops and invest them in an upgrade.

Rv pundit I thought kibaki free education meant school could not levy these building fund levies and the fact that most middle class families have abandoned public schools now only the poor are left in these schools. Cdf is a drop in the ocean compared to the need. Serem is proposing allocation of money to counties to build schools I hope mps approve this
-
Serem has power to allocate money to schools?
Only parliament can allocate money, so far the system is full of crappy MPIGs.
-
Serem is suggesting mpigs will have to approve.
-
In all fairness isn't this supposed to be brought up by the political class?
They are busy buying and bribing voters.
Meanwhile public schools are from 1970s
Serem is suggesting mpigs will have to approve.
