UHURU KENYATTA'S WET DREAM - Punguza Mzigo (Punguza Wezi)
I partly listened to Maina Kamanda this morning on Kameme FM and it beats logic why these Jubilee MPs are falling on their own sword. They knows very well CORD and specifically Raila thrives on movements and euphoria yet they fall for it! Our problem is not over representation, our greatest challenge is GREED, CORRUPTION & TRIBALISM.
Look at it this way; Raila and Kibaki campaigned strongly for this new constitution which now everybody admit was an outright con to Kenyans by some activists who wanted to create jobs for themselves in the many constitutional offices created. Raila on sensing the flaws on this supreme law called for ?#?Dialogue? which Jubilee rubbished off and reminded him this is not a nusu mkate Government. He then started the Okoa Kenya Movement, collected signatures, verified and handed them over to IEBC. This was so timely and coincided very well with the public outcry on the ballooning wage bill which the presidency itself has admitted is crippling the Government.
On realizing that the ?#?Oldman? was serious on his Okoa Kenya thing, Jubilee sends in its bleating sheep (Moses Kuria) who sings whatever chorus the executive deems right. Four legs are good (Okoa Kenya), but two legs are better (Punguza Mzigo). Punda (Wanjiku) kweli amechoka, but can Kenyans trust Punda Amechoka as envisioned by MK who has been propagating hate speech and shamelessly dividing this country?
Has anyone in Jubilee asked themselves why Raila Odinga and his troupe has been silent on the Punda Amechoka initiative? Just like in 2005, Raila wants a referendum badly, it will hype the country and offer him the much needed euphoria to take him thrugh in 2017. Uhuru Kenyatta too wants a refurrendum to ?#?PunguzaMzigo? and thats where amejifichiwo! CORD will defeat this punda thing as early as 10am just like they did with Mwai Kibaki's bananas that gave birth to the Orange Movement that literally sent the octogenarian home. Punguza Mzigo which is purely a populist idea shall be met with massive resistance especially from the political class, which Kenyans are yet to know how to deal with.
How do you convince Thika, Juja and Ruiru to go back to the former larger Juja Constituency in-order to reduce the number of MPs? How do you convince my small village Ikinu to merge with Githiga to form one Ward in-order to reduce the number of MCAs? How do you convince the women of Murang'a that they don't need Hon Wanjiru wa Chege (Sabina) as their women representative yet they knows she is one of the most vocal women leaders in this country or Hon Gladys Wanga of Homabay? How do you convince the millions of PLWD in this country that they don't require the erstwhile Hon Mwaura M Isaac who has pushed their agenda to an extent that PLWD are now been absorbed in the Kenya Police, NYS and the military despite been ?#?AbledDiffrently?? How do you convince the youths of this country that Sakaja Johnson did not deserve to be nominated in that parliament despite having worked tirelessly for the youths of this country (Never mind the ?#?BenGethis? are leaping the benefits). And finally, who in their rightful senses can vote to have Kiambu County Government-Kenya despite its handicapped leadership be swallowed by Nairobi County?
Moses Kuria's Punguza Mzigo is just a ?#?WetDream? and CORD is waiting graciously for Pundalee to fall for it. The wildest idea I've heard from these confused elements is even to have the referendum question on the ballot paper before 2017. Operation Rudisha Uhuru Statehouse will be done. Whoever advised Uhuru that starting a Punda Amechoka movement would water down Cord's ambitious Okoa Kenya Movement is damn sick. That is exactly what Raila wants, he invited you to play ball on a terrain you are not used to. Raila knows very well this is his last shot on the presidency and besides that, he knows he has the best chances than ever before. Raila is a political con and he will runaway with this one. People wants devolution, but the spirit in the Punguza Wezi initiative is killing devolution.
Anne Waiguru is long gone and forgotten, ?#?Eurobond? billions are still missing (we are yet to smell a single project from the proceeds), Ben Gethi has just six months to start mincing our millions, and our leaders are busy calling Raila names. Hii Kenya si ya mama ya mtu, ni yetu wote! All said and done, Uhuru Kenyatta's second term in office remains hanging on the balance. Blame these pedestrian keyboard advisers who calls us ?#?VillageIdiots? yet they cannot think beyond the mountainous berry of a one Ugandan fugitive called Matsanga David who resides at Intercon on our taxes. Otherwise we have 597 days remaining for ?#?KenyaToBurnAgain?. Otherwise when I look at 2017, I see a divided country. Once again Central Kenya shall be isolated. If indeed Gideon Moi will run for president in 2022, he will lauch his assault in 2017 and jubilee will be the biggest looser. I still supports Uhuru Kenyatta but honestly there are murky waters ahead.
My 10cent Opinion; ?#?KenyaIsAwakening? ?#?PundaHajachokaBado?

Honestly speaking your analysis is very well thought and articulated..I think the strength of this constitution is that it tried as much as possible to devolve and distribute power..Indeed it is costly but I guess many Kenyans prefer it to the former..Punda amechoka will be a very hard sell..

There is nothing wrong with the constitution. The problem is corruption which uhuru cannot fight.

The Punguza mzigo nonsense is very appealing but lacks any basis and background.
It borders around the Sessional Paper 10 authored by one Tom Mboya where he argued that its better to develop other areas which will then have trickle down effects to other regions.
How do you for example merge Turkana and West Pokot? Or worse stil merge Kiambu and Nairobi??
Its a disaster waiting to happen.
I thought Kuria would propose a pay cut to all the elected leaders and introduce stiffer penalties targetting corrupt officials.
No doubt Raila is not bothered with the punguza mzigo nonsense.

Good analysis but it means you support Uhuru simply because he's from you tribe but not because he's able to bring sound change in Kenya

Uve fallen prey to politicians shenanigans... Mark my words the civil servants will be first to vote for punda, coz this is the reality. I highly doubt that UK is behind moses kuria.. You can take this to the bank.. People will agree to this since it is affecting every one

I can tell you for free if Jubilee subjects the Punda Amechoka to a referrendum today, it will be defeated as early as 5am. Jubilee is falling prey to Raila's machinzation of starting a euphoria.

Dennis Rono separate politics from punda. Personally i never voted yes for this constitution.. Coz it's a mess.. Why the hell do we need 47 counties, women rep, constituencies, wards... total rubbish... And for the record, reducing corruption will not make Kenya economically stable. 50 percent of this constitution is bad

?#?Mwangi? X Muthiora. Am dissapointed by ur analysis confusing clever Kenyans that Moses Kuria initiative of PUNGUZA MZIGO is the attack from the president. Jubilee Members has their own initiative of BORESHA KATIBA n Moses Kuria is on His own. If OKOA KENYA N BORESHA KATIBA is taken to County assemblies, Jubilee will get the number n Cord will loose the game. Boresha Katiba is giving more revenue to MCAs as compared to Okoa Kenya, thus MCA been majority from Jubilee side will go for the highest bid offering them more money to develop their wards. Let no one be fooled that Moses Kuria Initiative is frm President Uhuru Kenyatta Office. Moses Kuria have got logic questions and if Counties themselves are ending up operating in blocks, that was the mind of Moses Kuria where you merge counties to reduce the number of Governors and their Executive offices, reduce the number of ministers in counties, scrap senate and scrap nominated mps n mcas but not joining 2wards together as highlighted by Mwangi X Muthiora. Ward will remain the way they r. In return this will increase competition which will foster development by the current Governors n mcas in office due to fear of loosing their support to the other powerful Governor. I spport Moses Kuria who is more concerned by the tax payers money as compared to OKOA KENYA N BORESHA KATIBA from the soo called Government and Opposition, whom both have nothing for taxpayers at heart except their political supremacy. Those r just political machines as per now the way they r. Tek ur tym n download the Okoa Kenya n tell me one thing that u will be proud for wasting ur tym to go n vote for in that referendum that will impact u directly....#?#?Moses? Kuria ?#?PUNGUZA? MZIGO ni yake si ya serikali ha Jubilee
