Title: For Omollo: Urgent Constitutional Amendments!
Post by: MOON Ki on June 11, 2015, 06:23:05 PM
The others can wait.     This OKOA Dick deserves the strongest and most immediate support:

Quote
A men's lobby group wants women who chop off any man's genitals to be sentenced to life imprisonment or death. Maendeleo ya Wanaume chairman Nderitu Njoka said the group will soon table proposed Constitutional amendments on the matter to the National Assembly's Justice and Legal Affairs Committee. -

If that fails, then we can look at the underlying problems (social, cultural, whatever) in the beating up of men and the cutting off of members, especially in certain parts of the country.

I agree with Njoka. Chopping someone genital is worse than rape. It more equal to murder. Such men can never bear children. It should be life sentence offence.

I suspect there is a huge imbalance in employment and opportunities between men and women in Nyeri. There may also be an attempt to lead "traditional" rural lifestyles anachronistically.

The trigger factor in all the cases appear to be money and to a limited extent sexual oppression. Nyeri has to confront those issues head on. It is mostly stay at home "wives" who are linked to this form of violence. Some of them are mature mamas who are not prone to that level of violence.

Gachagua should invest in Anti-substance abuse measures. More facilities for social interaction devoid of alcohol and less tendentious anti-alcohol campaigns than the ones we have seen lately.

Kenyans listen to their demagogues. So far Nyeri leaders have been very silent on the question of alcohol. One wonders if they too are encumbered by it. I know Kibaki laboured with the drink problem for a long time.

Any woman chopping of a man's genital deserves nothing less than DEATH. This Nyeri women are notorious at that. I was threatened by a woman at Nairobi saying she wished she was a Nyeri woman, I knew exactly what she had in her mind

This seems to be happening in a certain part of the country....maybe the mens' lobby group needs to invest their efforts in finding out what is really going on in that region instead of these kneejerk reactions. If this is akin to rape, then all those men caught raping or having sex with underage girls need to face the same fate.....what nonsense is this.
