The 0.02% Moi supporters are protesting hard!
KANU chairman and former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi failed to appear at the IEBC County Offices in Kabarnet to submit his nomination papers for the upcoming senatorial by-election, missing his allocated window between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The absence sparked confusion and frustration as KANU supporters staged a walkout from Kabarnet Stadium, while thousands of residents waited at the Baringo Airstrip and some gathered at the KANU headquarters, chanting slogans such as “No Gidii, no election,” in protest of Moi’s failure to present his credentials to the IEBC.
The no-show comes just days after Moi held a surprise State House meeting with President William Ruto, where the two reportedly discussed the by-election, Moi’s family business interests, and Ruto’s request for Moi to step aside for UDA candidate Vincent Chemitei, a request Moi is said to have declined.

:) the sky is azure.
Why bother with Gideon? Even if he won (as was likely), Tugen and Pokot would still vote 99% Ruto.
-
Ruto lost 100k votes mostly in west pokot n Tiaty. They were already back. Gideon was going to unnecessary distraction.

Ruto wanted KTN, Standard, and Moi media enterprise, but Gideon wanted a less embarrassing exit and few business deals. 80% Ruto win, 20% Moi win.

Ruto must be desperate to bother with Kanu.

Baringo has agreed to run a UDA candidate unopposed. The rest of the candidates polling 0.01% respectively will soon drop out and endorse the young incoming senator. Gideon Moi will surely find peace with his inner family, who have been hounding him for years for opposing Ruto.

Why bother with legacy media that is on its deathbed? Standard media employees have not been paid for 2yrs. It's clear most of these guys cannot run business without government patronage.

This doesn’t change anything, Ruto will win the Kalenjin vote. This was celebrated by Ruto supporters so they should not complain when other tribes do the same and Uhuru better not go to mt Kenya trying to sell us to Ruto, it will backfire spectacularly. If the opposition stays united and agrees on a candidate, it’s over by noon https://x.com/skmusyoka/status/1977048346297561359?s=46&t=3-3-_ehcZbukDCK7hNe5LA
