First Thaksin was PM 2001 to 2006.
Then Somchai 2008.
Yingluck 2011 to 2014.

Now Paetongtarn is fired :o after a year despite being popular on the ground. The excuse is a leak of her fawning and flirting with "Uncle" Hun Sen of mortal enemy Cambodia. Interestingly the Shinawatras are quite close to the Hun Sens -- despite the official state enmity. Hun Sen stabbed "Ung Ing" in the back and leaked the phone call.

It's a Praetorian state in Pakistan mold. But real power is the monarchy it seems - the army and constitutional court are cat-paws.

With their billions and political knack I don't see them as dead yet. Their party still holds numbers in the ruling coalition.
