I don't like to be tribal, but the facts are the facts. Yes, all of kenya's politicians are corrupt thugs, but the Kalenjins seem to take it a notch higher.
It's over for Ruto. He has been even worse than Moi because he has ruined the country in just 2 years. Moi took 24 years.
My question is: What is going on with these Kalenjins? They can't seem to lead without violence. No policies, no intellectual ideas. nothing. Just stealing, violence and thuggery.
Unfortunately for Africa, tribal culture is still significant. Maybe in 1000 years when africans become more civilized, it won't matter, but for now, it does.

A human being is a tribal animal. The only times they are not tribal is when their tribe is not big enough to do it by themselves. If Ruto was Kikuyu(with the same exact performance), we would see opposition to him, just from different sources.

I on the otherside, backed by data and evidence, disagree. If you are shooting from the ass anything can be said, but evidence is stubborn. In just 2 years, with extreme opposition and economic sabotage from cartels, Ruto has moved Kenya two steps ahead of Oil rich Angola, and Massive Ethiopia. Given 10 years and relative calmness, Kenya would get rid of slums, and likely move to first position with all the investments in manufacturing, agriculture, housing , and major reforms currently underway. If you have capital, Kenya is the destination now, but if you are lazy, I would bolt out. You cannot compare Uhuru and Kibaki's 20 year period with Ruto's 2 years, if you are data-evidence-driven. Kenya's GDP is projected to reach $132 billion in 2025, exceeding Ethiopia's projected $117 billion, marking a shift in regional economic hierarchy.
Kenya has overtaken Angola and Ethiopia and is now considered the sixth largest economy in Africa.
Kenya had surpassed Angola to become the third largest economy in Sub-Saharan Africa before.
While Ethiopia's GDP growth rate was higher than Kenya's in 2023, Kenya's GDP per capita was higher.
World Bank data indicates Kenya's economy had already surpassed Angola's in 2022, while Ethiopia was ahead of Kenya at that time.
IMF data suggests Kenya overtook Angola in 2023 and Ethiopia in 2024.

We did not see these kinds of massive protests against uhuru and he wasn't even a good president.
The protests are country wide and then add on people like Murkomen and sudi that just keep lighting the fires.
The data suggests that for the 90%, the economy has pretty much collapsed.
Maybe Kikuyu corruption is more nuanced and not as blatant?
Anyway, I hope the next president goes after all these thugs and their stolen loot. Go all the way back to 1963 and start from there.

Social media and blogger-driven fake news has bamboozled many Kenyans. This is the only administration that mainstream media, though lopsided in reporting against Government has not found one sticky scandal like Kemsa, NYS, Goldberg, etc. They tried on Adani airport deal to twist, but came back later and realized it should have been a good deal for kenya after it was dropped out of fake news. SHA "104 Billion" fake reporting was another, but now that SHA is newer and has good reviews, they have buried it completely. The cartels at the hospitals tried to steal 100 million using their NHIF methods and were nabbed. 35 hospitals closed and they have lost over 100 million themselves. Once prosecution begins, they will lose more and final stage is EACC asset recovery, which has been making Gava so much easy money. you steal 100m, you pay back 200M! This is foolishness, but let me say this. I've watched many interviews with Lee Kuan Yew the former PM of Singapore and I remember seeing him having round table debates with young singaporeans for 3 hours, 4 hours, etc
And at these debates, they would have discussions and the young Singaporeans were allowed to ask him anything and it was intellectual debates that they had about various topics (economics, democracy, freedom of the press, etc)
They were no abductions, missing people, police shootings, murders, etc. It was INTELLECTUAL DEBATES with YOUNG Singaporean citizens. Ruto though, has crossed the rubicon because of all of theSE abductions and murders. It's over for him.

They constantly preach peace and empowerment to people and their actions over a decade have changed thousands of young people in the villages. All the runners dominating the globe nowadays started from nothing with Farouk hands and nurturing money. Intellectualism is a western concept that has a limited academic meaning. You can have less education and if you are touching lives of people and preaching peace, 'intellectuals' have nothing on you. Farouk brain can change Kenya if he was President. One smart individual who can turn nothing into something while empowering others. They are now trying to get her back to face charges.
