JD Vance is actually more radical than Trump. He then attended an AfD rally live - that Musk had only attended remotely. It's almost comical to watch the horrified faces at Paris

These bone-headed moves will cost the US dearly. These alliances were built over decades. The assumption here is that Trump is pulling a reverse Nixon over Russia-China. But how can Putin embrace that after years of US-led isolation and humiliation? Worse he knows that Trump will be gone in 4 years and replaced with another Biden. US is simply unreliable. It would be foolish to dump China over such unbankable overtures. 

Simple, Putin will pocket the wins and continue playing both/all sides.
