On September 20, 2023, it was reported that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery had resorted to importing crude oil and was anticipating its first cargo within about two weeks, as disclosed by Devakumar Edwin, the Executive Director of Dangote Group.
The report also highlighted that, even though the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited trades crude oil on behalf of Nigeria, the NNPCL has already allocated its crude to other entities, which further complicates the situation.
Dangote's mistake was blowing the trumpet about this mass investment. he should have hidden himself behind a mzungu. Let the mzungu present himself as the face of the investor and Dangote does the rest. Since Mwafrika has a complex towards Mzungu, the biz would ad been left to take off without any hitches. Dangote should know Mwafrika does not want his fellow Mwafrika to prosper. Mwafrika would rather give local business to an alien rather than his brother.
