Ruto has been embarrassed seriously by chinese for his initial kiherehere about shunning China and trying to be a west blue eyed boy. Ruto is a traitor already in Africans eyes and hated, Ruto is a naive person being president has exposed him honestly he is a charlatan, you dont play high stakes games with global super powers, Am on record saying China is the better of the 2 devils at least having been a developing country they understand,now Ruto has tucked his tail between his legs and this in just 1 year what a pity,Ruto just like pundit is a know it all guy but a master of none hopefully he will learn from this, drunkard Uhuru is beating him hands down economically and that's why am saying Kikuyus will rule Kenya for a long time bana,if a sober born again kale president is already redudant in his 1st year. Moi was sober and born again like Ruto(what is it with kales and being born again :D) Kibaki a drunkard beat him hands down am beginning to think its genetically Kales cant run economically a country.
Ruto will continue to struggle because of his rush and naive decisions.
In the meanwhile war ravaged countries like Ethiopia will overtake peaceful Kenya.

the question is not who ruto meets in china,the main issue is that chinese will give him HIGH INTEREST Loans,overpriced government to goverment infrastructure projects which the chinese bank is the financier,chinese contractor and chinese steel & other imports for infrastructural development.

Chinese are shylock,they know kenya is in economic tatters,eurobonds almost overdue,they will ask for mombasa   port and JKIA as collateral.

Ruto is finished economically...eurobond overdue,crooked fuel import bill,chinese to finish him.

Can you please stop trying to derail my thread. With all due respect, this thread is about who he meets in China. If you have a contrary other 'main issue', nothing stops you from starting a separate thread and articulating the same.

Ethiopia is broke. it long time Chinese friend.
China is no longer lending - it struggling to collect money.
Ruto is right to work with West.
IMF/WB are ready to assist to pay Eurobond.

For Chinese - Ruto should try to seek private deals - chinese gov is wary of investing in Africa - there are defaults all over.

Kenya is best of the worst - and chinese will likely lend to Kenya - than any other africa country.

Kenya Kwanza govt is a strange administration. No one is imposing an agenda on them. They are let to set their own marking scheme. In this thread the evaluation is on the agenda they have talked to the Nation about. State House spokesman Hussein Mohamed outlined the business that was taking the President to China..

As per the stated goals of this trip on tax payers money our interest is at least 3 fold. Has he attended the BRI conference? Has he met President Xi and has he acquired the loan(s) he sought?

If they knew China is no longer lending why did the DP talk of plans to seek a loan in the link at the beginning of this thread?
Why say you will meet Xi and yet that has not happen. He could have just said they were going to meet 'private people'??

I never listen to that woman Gladys Whatever. I still recall her days as the registrar of the Judiciary. Only scandal after scandal. Then takes over one Anne Amadi and almost 8 years and nobody even knows the name of the registrar. That is how useless this woman is. Mdomo tupu!

Belt initiative only helps China. They bring labor and capital, and leave debt and more more debt. Ask current beneficiaries.
Its called predatory lending.
The beneficiary pays more for the project than it is worth.

Not necessarily.  Many have benefited. China put money in where many dismissed as shit hole.
