Ruto has business interests in Sudan. He deals with gold and exports it to Dubai. His close associates are the rebels.

What I find funny is the militia rebel guy came to prominence as Janjaweed: They fight to exterminate black nyeusi people in Sudan. Is that not the reason South Sudan fought for independence? However when it comes to business this mwarabu has no qualms working with the ethnic people he despises as long as they are not domiciled on Sudanese soil. Maajabu. There is a similar genocidal story I came across on twitter. Let me dig it up and post here.
