Im from Coast . Taitas hate tor GEMA shifted to Ruto just like the Kambas . 2022 was a wake up call for me with Digos and Taitas . RV Pundit is still on alice the wonderland.

People change. Coast are very happy with Ruto returning port of Mombasa to them - from Naivasha. Taita Taveta are coming back. These people are orphaned by ODM and Raila imminent fall - and are on their own.And Ruto has fixed Giriam - Speaker of Senate and Minister - Plus Digo-Duruma has minister - governor is UDA.Mungatana are in UDA from Tana river.
Coast is wrap. Raila inherited them from KANU in 2002 - Ruto is taking them back.The rest of KANU small tribes are coming home - in Maa - only Ledama is last hold out.
In short - Ruto right now can easily get Moi's 40% without any GEMA vote.
So hapo he will only need 10%. That is why you cannot intimidate or hold him hostage. You're very replaceable.

Im very realistic in my approach on politics. It will take years to decouple coast from Raila.
I said the same of GEMA on Railas hate in 2022 and I was proven correct. The likes of Mami and Robina had to resign from Nipate.
Even the votes Ruto got from Mombasa were majority GEMA and the voter apathy after Raila handshaked Uhuru and the Swahili and Mijikenda realizing tumecheswa. If voters turn out was similar to 2017 . Ruto would have gotten more or less same percentage as Uhuru had gotten in Mombasa 2017.
There seems to be a referendum in 2 years time . You will see the outcome. But then again. You tribal alignment has made you become the proverbial ostrich .
As days go by the more you sound like Robina . I can bet you will soon run away from Nipate.

Ruto under performed in 2022 . Only in Mombasa did he do 40% and it was because of GEMA votes and low voter turn out.

In 2002 with Uhuru selection to fly KANU - coast become angry - not only was Ngala overlooked but a Kenyatta who was responsible for their land troubles was picked.
Raila quickly shifted to Majimbo - attracting Coast and Rift valley in 2007.
Coast therefore has belong to Raila since circa 2005.
Militant side of coast were with Raila - the other part are any gov in power.
Ruto is keen to inherit the Raila side and of course the any gov in power.
I think he will do it - next election Ruto will carry coast completely.

You mean post 2007 - Raila has been coast king. Prior to that Moi controlled Coast until 2002 - with Ngala seen as heir apparent - and Moi had backing of Asian tycoons.

Ngala lost in Mp elections meaning he was not a factor.
If Kenyatta was the problem how come Ruto performed dismally in 2022 elections . If it was simply because of Uhuru then Uhuru indeed supported Raila so Ruto should have bagged Coast.
One thing you are refusing to acknowledge is that The Coast having supported Raila for more than 2 decades they have endeared themselves to Raila . Raila hardly campaigned in Coast and he carried the day . To decouple Coast from Raila will be a longshot .
Ruto being no enemy of Raila Coast have embraced that hatred against Ruto.
Ruto needs to learn from Uhurus mistake , you cannot expect to get support by buying a few politicians . Safeguard whatever you have and hope to gain a little here and there Not abandon what you have and go for whatever is not yours .

Even my diehard Mt Kenya friends admit today Kibaki stole that election. Leave that discussion because it is not a discussion anymore.
Historians will judge Kibaki very harshly. He got the economics right, but failed politically. Kenya would not be in the political and economic dietribes it is today had the man accepted to go home in 2007. Kibaki laid ground the UhuRuto regime that has brought the country to its knees today. Now we have the other part of the UhuRuto regime trying to take us out of the mess it created in the first place.
