Section 9(2) of the Standards Act

empowers the CS to suspend or cancel a Standard due to public interest. In this respect I have sought the advice of the Standards Council on my imminent decision to suspend The Portable Spirts Standard(KS EAS 109: 2018) that is what is used to…
We are likely to see more of these Kikuyu supremacists destructive ego trips to nowhere. I am yet to understand the results of this war on alcohol. Waking up to suspend, ban and destroy businesses when government has been licensing these investments is madness. Seems even Hasora government parasites do not understand pain of running businesses in Kenya.
Why not have regulations requiring potable spirits to lower alcohol content to 12-15 as Keroche has been doing with Vienna? Nurture the local manufacturers instead of running around begging mwarabu and mzungu to come extract from Kenya.
Seems once Hasla stalled fight against dynasties and their wealth likes of Kuria and Gachaguas have gone on overdrive to create extortion loopholes and alcohol seems to be easy spot made sweeter by morals. I am very wary when government that is struggling in key fronts of education, health, security and infrastructure takes the moralising path like mwarabu crazies.
We keep singing value addition yet we have killed ethanol production through crazy taxes and power costs. Kebs and KRA thugs own the smuggling cartel from Tanzania and Uganda. Koko has tried promoting cooking ethanol and seems taxes are killing it.
There is no talk of unemployment and underemployment. Just myths about the nostalgic glory days of 70s are just created by the kikuyu supremacists who took Jomo as god. Jiggers were all over. People had no shoes. Majority of the 70s adult are illiterate.
People neglected coffee for avocadoes for a reason and not alcohol. There was no coffee boom for majority. They never appreciate that coffee production peaked during Moi 1988/89 at 130,000MTs and 199/2000 at 100,000 MTs. With Kibaki and ufool we are at 40,000. Just keep wailing how Moi destroyed coffee industry while passing Ugandan coffee as Kenyan since Chepkube days.
The Gachaguas and Kuria need to internalise that Central Kenya's productivity has maxed. In the final years of ufool projects worth around 200 billion were done are ongoing and the returns are nowhere.
These supremacists are biggest impediment to investments where there are low hanging fruits across the country which would absorb the kikuyu youths. If you throw 200 billion in the North, that will be magic. Already the counties have transformed dusty outposts into towns in 10 years as kikuyu supremacists shout Eastleigh.

Why is this?
People here have suggested making it easier for these brewers to manufacture "cleaner" alcohol, but I don't think many have the funds to start companies like keroche.
Maybe micro-breweries, which you see now everywhere in the west? but even those require quite a bit of funding and kenya as a country seems to be incapable of regulating much (look at the poisonous sugar, maize flour, etc)

Kadogo economy or packaging goods into affordable sizes is due to low incomes. Will kuria also ban tots? All kenyan distillers from UDV(kbl) to patiala all use ethanol. Its cost prohibitive to distill and still market product at a price hasoras can afford.Section 9(2) of the Standards Act
