I am in one very popular bar..no people. Its a Friday but it worse than a Monday.

What I have observed many small business have permanently shutdown since covid days.I see more shutting down

Not true. There are times kenya or US economy booms..you just maybe not perceptive..90s in kenya remain the worst

pundit anakunywa 1.7 lounge bypass kwa kamakis, kidding. lakini lots of upper middle class are shifting downwards to less expensive places. The guys who used to take jack D and martell are now taking "clear martell" (Gilbeys).

Not yesterday. I was at the Loft actually.When I need choma I go to 1.7  or Ashakis if I crave Uganda matoke I am yet find Uganda  type pork places....Kenya pork is unpalatable

We will have to come up with a term for what is happening currently.

It does not fit recession. It looks like stagflation- a recession and inflation for poor shithole on a debt treadmill.

Bureaucrats who should diet are putting crazy plan meals in budgets.

If you are already invested, stagflation is bad. But for someone starting it gives them an opportunity to buy cheap. Also the era of cheap money if OUT.
